I disagree again DD. You have to respect VC since he is one of the best 3point shooters. You do not want someone that can shoot a 3 at clutch time like VC so you eliminate him and hope that someone else take it and misses. It's obvious the Raptors needed a three to tie the game so that was the version they have to challenge the 3 point line.

Were you watching the same Dallas game as everyone else in the nation(and Half the Globe)? We lost the Dallas game with 2 minutes remaining in the 3rd QT. You just cant judge a game just looking at the BOX SCORE.

This team isnt going anywhere with the players we have. I cant say the word TRADE fast enough. You cant win a championship with a young, super athletic and DUMB point guard.

JVG told Cato to double on Vince, you can't blame Cato for doubling on Vince and leaving Bosh wide open. It's the game plan, and Bosh stepped up and hit the shot.

Your argument of Cato giving up 25 points to Bosh should be thrown in the garbage. Did you even watch the game??

One thing I"ve noticed is that Stevie is one of the few players who get bashed by fans and others when he takes many shots and play wildly. While AI or Vince Carter ect. don't get the same treatment since tehy are well respected players that help out the team adn distribute the ball and keep their teammates happy.

Well JVG was simply wrong....and it cost them the game.

I would have fouled Vince on the floor, not letting him pass it or give the team a chance to shoot the 3....ala Rudy T against the Phoenix suns years ago.

True. But that's could be a 2 easy points. I mean let them try for a three and make them missed rather then give them an easy 2. An easy two can come back to bite ya. So that was to play it safe.

2 easy points and you have the ball back.......and get to take some time off the clock while they foul you.

It works better than leaving a guy wide open to tie the game.

Though JVG used Vinces selfless pass to b**** slap Francis by saying great players adjust and pass the ball.

    STeve.....doesn't do that.

I know what you trying to say DD but lets say what if we don't score or lose the ball to teh Raptors? Now they are down by 1 point with teh possession. It's a game of chess almost so a wrong move can truly dome you at the end. You have to think many steps ahead of yuour opponents.

DaNasty....it works...you never give the other team a chance to tie the game.

I would put Wilkes in there...heck does it matter? As long as Steve gets the message?

You might want to think before you post sometimes

I'd put Colin Pine in there. I think his IQ is high enough to be able to hit an over 7 foot target.

That's been his patented excuse now for going on 5 years. And it will continue to be so until he either gets a clue or is traded. The only problem is that after 4 years and no playoffs, fans aren't so willing to accept that crap anymore.

That's what Raptor's announcer was contemplating what the Rockets would do on the radio.

Hi, guys, I'm a die hard Spurs fan, but I like Yao Ming. That's why I have watched a lot of Rox games in last season and this season. However, if you are only a Rox fan, sometimes it's difficult for you guys to realize how ugly Rox basketball is. Yes, ugly! ISO is not basketball. If you ever watched Argentina basketball team in last year's WBC, you will know the beauty of basketball. Basketball is a team sports after all.

Rox has one of the best fans in NBA. Houston is a classic city. The fans over there deserve a much better team than the current one. However, I kind of feel sorry for the fans. I really cannot imagine I would watch Steve and Cat's ISOs year after year ...

I guess that JVG knows the problem, but he just cannot fix it or is not determined to fix it. Sometimes he is too diplomatic.

I like your post. Rockets will miss playoff again if JVG could not fix this HUGE hole created by Rudy to let Steve and Cat do whatever they like...

Read the other post by a fan who sit behind the bench, JVG actually told Steve to pass the ball all the game, Steve just ignored him. Steve wanted to be the man. Hahaha, what a mess JVG gets into. Would JVG sit Steve down? Not likely since Yao is not reay, MoT, Pike, AG, EG are either hurt or under suspension. JVG does not have much choice.

I actually believe this is one of JVG's weaknesses. He does not like playing zone that much. If he plays the zone in the end of the regulation, it might confuse Toronto tremendously. I do think in today's NBA, you need to switch between man and zone defense. It can confuse opponents' players.
