I am a fan of your site and respect what you do here, but I am sick and tired of the way ZRB is treated. If you want to ban him, then do so. Otherwise, personal attacks on him should cease. At first, I admitt it seemed to me to be harmless fun, but now I can't enter a thread without someone making a back-handed comment about him.

You should know that other posters on this site reflect on clutchcity.net as a whole. As a result, lurkers and the general public may become apprehensive and not post. This I think stifles diversity and promotes a singleness of thought.

I agree that ZRB starts a lot of threads, but by the same token people who post nasty comments about ZRB are just as annoying.

My impression of clutchcity.net therefore has been mixed at best. I love the fact that Rockets fans have a forum, but I get the impression that if you don't have special knowledge to offer the inner group, then you might as well not post at all.

    KBM,

Lets flip your argument to another point of view.

Would the lurkers and the general public want to join a forum where a "regular" poster makes negative comments about the team on a regular basis and gets away with making misinformed posts?

Supposedly the lurkers are potential members and likley Rockets fans. How can you entice these fans and build excitement when negativity will rule if ZRB runs amuck?

Furthermore, ZRB lied about not being Turn in the Chat Room. No matter that he finally 'fessed up, he flat out lied.

First Mango, I don't know of one poster here that hasn't, at one point or another, had a negative comment about the rockets. Second, I would lie to if everytime I wanted to chat or post someone said something nasty about me. Third, The "misinformed" post is just what I am talking about when I say "special knowledge." Is it so bad to just be a fan or does someone have to be a former coach or have sources that tell him when the rockets are going to trade to be able to post here? I would hope everyone could post!

Finally, I said everything I want to say about this matter. Any more, I think, will detract from my first post. I am sorry I posted in wrong forum.

I hid my identity in an internet chat room dealing with a basketball team. Big deal. I apologized, and that was that. There is no reason to continue ripping into me for that. I lied, and I owned up to my mistake. I admitted I was wrong. I didn't edit my posts like that Grizzlie fan did.
I'm sorry if my posts are too negative for you, but if that is the way I feel, I'm not going to hide it to please others. You can define many of my posts as being negative, or you can define them as being accurate gripes with the Rockets. I am not as misinformed as you think. I just like to cover all sides of an issue. You wonder why I didn't post anything positive about the win yesterday? Because everyone else already had about 100 times. So, I decided to talk about the negative aspect. I hoped for debates about the content of my posts, not my general attitude. Instead, all I got was insults. I really would like to get along on this board, but I'm not going to change or hide my opinions to do that.

kbm, clutch has nothing to do with this. He's not gonna ban zrb unless he goes over the edge. zrb knows what he's doing, and as he has said, he likes to rock the boat sometime. He should and has taken the reactions like a man.

HeyP is borderline abusive to me, but I don't want him banned. [IMG]

    KBM,

    Read this thread:
    http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/Forum3/HTML/010736.html

Be sure to catch my post (tables) at 2:10 am January 24,2001.

There was no inside knowledge or being a former coach needed to research that the youthfulness of the Kings was overstated by ZRB.

Webber is the dominant player on the Kings roster and has been in the league for a while. Francis is a second year player and the Rockets aren't that far behind the Kings in the standings.

The two players (Dream & Cato) who were targeted to play the 5 for the Rockets this season have spent lots of time on IR. ZRB should be asking why the Kings, Spurs, Jazz etc don't lead the Rockets by more games than they currently do considering that their primnary players have probably spent less time on IR than Cato and Dream have.

I agree. Sometimes, the ones who are most critical are also the most passionate and supportive.

    kbm,

With all due respect, if you think someone making a negative comment is why people jump on Turn/ZRB/Tweak, you are sorely mistaken. The following is a ClutchCity.Net chat transcript from the Rockets vs. Grizzlies game on January 26th. I've added commentary...

Note the score is tied and he has given up. Negativity is one thing. That's just stupid.

Fair enough. Rockets are playing garbage defense. We're up 1.

Turn is saying goodbye playoffs after the end of 1 quarter. Yes, and I can see why. We were getting blasted after 1 quarter : the score was tied at 27.

During the timeout (after the 1st quarter) :

No problem. He has something against putting those guys in. Fair enough.

Yes, he can't stand it anymore. We're down 2. Early in the 2nd quarter.
