Melo is so perfect for MDA system as the 4 man. He looks hella good and he's been training hard this offseason. Always like melo and wanted him on the Rockets since his Denver days. Always thought him and harden would play great together but adding cp3 I'm convinced he's the missing piece. He's almost two perfect a fit for our system at PF. And as the third option..... man you can't do much better than that.
Unless...there was a Parade at the end of the one season! Unless. BTW - - path to acquiring CMA and the carcass that was Noah is doable, but would require the derring do of someone like DM the GM (and how might a new owner feel about that 'extra' $70odd mil?
100% agree. The plays Ryan Anderson couldnt make Melo can make in his sleep. That one legged ugly stepback will be replaced with a legit variety of moves Melo has. This is why we need to close the deal asap

When the ownership is at stake, changes are always likely. Guys do look ahead, but Melo may agree to a 1 yr deal with Houston. I think it's not helpful to see Les go, at this important juncture.
I like that Woj ended his part on Melo by saying that the Knicks organization never stopped Phil Jackson and that Anthony is not likely to forget that. His loyalty to this Knicks front office shouldn't have changed just because a new GM was hired. Dolan and Mills already sided with Jackson when they should have protected their greatest asset on the team. His devaluation around the league is still real and Dolan is the one to blame. Perry ain't fixing the past. All they can do is sweep up the mess and start new with Porzingis and Hardaway.
Fact is, I don't know how the Rockets and the mysterious third team could just come up with some other deal than what they ended up with a week ago. If anything, Morey could be more inclined to pull back on his offer, and hope for a buyout. If that doesn't happen then Melo likely chooses to stay in NY unless he opens his trade list to Miami, LA, and San Antonio (don't think he'll even THINK Portland until Miami, LA, and SA get a chance at trading for him). *I said it before that if it comes to expanding his list, the Lakers would be who I'd think would be the team I'd think he'd end up getting traded to. Lopez, Clarkson, Randle for Melo & Noah. Then the Lakers make a push to get Lebron in the Summer with Melo already there with the yung-uns. Either Perry is going to find out here pretty quick that NY, Hou, and the third team got to where they got for a reason, and ends up doing the deal in the next few weeks, or I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to engage with Melo on a buyout for this year (assuming he waives his player option to do so.).
They must have a different GM from when the Roy and Aldridge team was out together. That was a pretty solid young squad that got the bad end of injury luck

At this point.. if the trades dont make sense for anyone involved.... wait until Melo is bought out and sign him to a Vet min deal. That would be even more epic.. Can bring Ryan off the bench.... even though i would rather have him off the team LOL
These Melo negotiations remind me of any threesome I've ever tried to initiate. Always left at the altar by a third party
