Sure, but it will be a rushed shot as the defense only needs to worry about 9 seconds. Bosh made that shot with 7.2 seconds left, they had the position from 15 seconds, it took them 7.8 seconds. As a rookie, it is different to shoot under 1 or 2 seconds left from under 8 seconds left. But anyway, it is hypothetical, the point is SF has been in the league for 4 years, he has to make better decisions. Sometimes, his athletic ability bails him out. Most times, it won't.

In the past four years, he made too many bad decisions, OK, man, have you ever seen it before?

:D You forgot the Van. His last name is Van Gundy, not just Gundy. Nice try though. I wish Van Gundy really would strongly consider getting the team to spread the ball around more at the end of close games.

How quickly we forget. Steve should have the ball in his hands at crunch time. If we didn't go to Steve at crunch time we would have lost the NJ game.

The problem is that STeve wouldn't let the ball out of his hands once he had it today. Steve played the worst offensive game I've seen. It was horrible to watch, but that being said, he's the guy who should have it in his hands when the game is on the line.

By the way his teammates didn't do any better with it when they had their chance. During the OT Yao turned the ball over on a critical situation the third to last possession we had. The time before that Yao threw it away as well. The problem is that as soon as the rest of the team looks like they can't get it done, Steve stops giving them shots at redemption. He should give them the chance to correct the game, or at least share the blame for the loss. Steve shouldn't hog the ball all the time.

You win some, you loose some! Last possesion on the 2 OT'S was ugly in a sense that the Franchise should drive to the lane a take a 10 or 15 perimeter jumper or just simply drive in to the hoops with a little foul bet. That's the way the game should end! Straight up!

    NEXT!!!

The Franchise couldn't even lead his team into playoffs in his first 5 years, championship for the next 5 years? I couldn't see it.

I think steve just lacks discipline as player and maturity. Rudy always just let him do his thing which is why he has the attitude and playing style he does now, he hasnt learnt how to play as a member of a team and use his head on the court. I'd like to hope that these thing will come with experince and JVG.

If it weren't for Steve, we may have won in regulation. :p

Damn, I wish I could trade Steve for Carter now.

I'd feel so much better for Yao.

I dont think they Raptors would trade VC for Stevie straight up after knowing what kind of player Stevie is. I wonder what the GMs think of Steve trade value is and with whom and for whom.

I think the raptors would turn that trade down in 2 secs without even thinking twice about it. Remember at least Vince has led his team to the playoffs before.

I didn't watch the whole game, as I was doing Texans/Rockets dial flipping. But I did see the last minute of regulation and the last minute of the first overtime.

I don't mind seeing the ball in Stevie's hands in these kind of situations, but today he regressed a little bit, it was sorta Stevie circa 2002. Stevie needs to drive to the hole...you can get a foul, you can dish, you can blow right by your guy, what he ended up with, the pair of fadeaway looking, buzzer beating 27 footers he took not once but twice, that shot will go in maybe 15 percent of the time.

I'm confident that this is a lapse rather than a trend, but its still distressing to see, the Rockets need to play team ball tommorrow and Stevie needs to stay in the framework rather than try and out duel the Answer. I'm hopeful he will.

Quotes like these show the mauturity level of Francis.

    http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/2228294

"He was lucky," Francis said. "He just threw it up and hoped it went in."

That, however, seemed a better description of Francis' shots to end the fourth quarter and overtime.

So let's see. If someone else makes a game tying 3 pointer, that person is lucky and shouldn't get any credit at all for making a clutch play. Yet when Francis tries the exact same thing and occasionally makes it, we are supposed to believe it's all due to his great skills?
