Any team hoping to beat Golden State will need plenty of wing defenders to cover Durant, Thompson, Iguodala and Livingston and even Draymond. We see how Cleveland, particularly LeBron, got worn down game after game because they do not have the wing depth to match the waves of wing players that GSW threw at them. Ariza, PJ Tucker and Mbah a Moute are nominally SFs, but in a series vs. GSW (and several other playoff teams), we are gonna see 2 or even 3 of them on the floor at the same time for a good chunk of the game. The team is lucky to have signed Mbah a Moute for only the minimum contract when Andre Roberson costs $10M.
And nothing. I was answering somebody's question. I made no comment of whether its good or bad. My personal opinion on the guy is that if Morey wants him, then i want him.
Great pick up. I do not understand anybody not liking this deal. Yes he has some flaws. But I do not expect us to sign a flawless player for the minimum. One advantage of us signing him and tucker is that both will not be guarding harden in games.
Our GM's are Harden & CP3. And yes, Bobby Brown is here to stay like it or not - Signed Gary Payton II.
Best guess: DMo. He wore #12 for the Pelicans last year. He actually makes some sense as we don't have a stretch 5 right now. He also adds another dimension to the offense. Just saying that if his back is in good shape and he's gotten over that stuff from last season, it could make sense.
Great pick-up! Gives MDA bench flexibility and Jeff another defensive asset to plan with. We played Ariza way too much the last few years, but now with guys like Tuck and Luc we can put tough defense on another team's star forwards for 48 mins. These guys can work on wearing out Durant or Lebron for a game.
I think he'll mostly be defending wings, Tucker might be able to though. Not sure if serious, but Luc is #12 lol
Always remember him just playing really tough and gritty. Brings back some of the toughness we lost with Bev. Really good pick up. He obviously had other and bigger offers - is it DM? Is it Harden? Paul? Or the team we are building that convinced him to sign for the minimum here..?
