AI get most FT attempts in the league. Don't only look at his FG%.

By the end of regulation and 1st OT, SF should have attacked baskets, or feed Yao the ball, and get FTs. Instead he went for treys both time, and wasted two oppertunities. He wanted to be the front page hero, that is what it was about.

Yao got going in the 3rd quarter, but was left out of offense since then. Then you give him a brick once in 10 minutes, you can expect to an OT from him. He was not only tired, but also cold after 10 minutes without touching the ball!

That's bull, if SF did not take the shot at the 17 second mark, Raptor would at most get the ball with a couple of seconds left if they don't foul SF, it is doubtful they will make a jumper to win it.

I, for one, believe AI sucks, the guy will never win a championship without a big man in the middle helping him. His shooting percentage is abysmal. It is no wonder Larry Brown jumped ship.

Also CHECK THIS, AI does not play the POINT anymore!

Sorry, MacBeth. I didn't mean to argue with you. I meant to refute DonKnutts's message, which you quoted. :)

O Ya, if you dont belive me, you dont belive Calvin Murphy. He said almost word for Word: Let Steve take the shots now.

Steve needs to get better at distributing the ball and creating for teammates if he's going to play point guard. When your point guard has one assist and shoots 9 for 27, that's not good and it doesn't take someone with over a hundred posts to recognize that.

He is not like Iverson. I mentianed he was like Iverson and everyone jumped down my throat for being wrong and negative.

Lets keep him at pg and plus he is better than AI.

Saying Steve suxs, and he will never win a championship is not exactly orginzied crtizizing. One game can not be a generalization for his whole nba carear..

Give our players a break! Tonronto is pretty good at home. Our guys just came off back-to-back games. Without Mot and EG, we lack depth. Guys were just tired.

How about 4 seasons then? I mean if we're bashing Yao in his 2nd year (some deserved), what saves SF and Cat after their 4th and 5th years? People on here say there are Yao only fans and there AREN'T SF or Cat only fans. Fact is, there are all three.

What are you talking about? Let me ask you a question.

Who is to blame for the lost? Just wondering.

One game can sure be a microcosm of his whole career.

AI took a lousy excuse for a team to the finals. SF took his talented team to 4 straight lottery. You figure it out.

This game is definitely winnable, Raptors do suck. Maybe Rox is just too tired and that makes me worry about tomorrow's game. Even Yao played 50 mins tonight.

But one thing I don't understand is we had two winning shot chance, two times SF shot it way outside the 3pts line, is it by design or just because Raptors's defense tight? Why didn't he penerated and then create an easy jump for himself or his teamate (we only need 1pt to win).

Twice we had the chance and twice I saw this damb play, was it the best we can get after timeout?

And why we consitently double-team Carter in OT? His shots suck tonight and his passing killed us, not to mention we used Cato to double team him and Yao had to face AG and Bosh, that was why they got 5 offense rebounds in OT. Let Carter shoot!!! He only shot 25 % tonight!!!

Farhan007 ,I agree ! let's give Steve and Mobley another five years ,ans if they still play like a moron then we all can start to generalize their NBA career...After they 've been here only four years ago or so....still way too early to judge their mistakes year after year, right?

JVG said it right, Steve wants to hit a home run.

    Not too surprising.

This game was lost by everyone. Look at the horrible shooting percentage by everyone but Yao, and look at the high number of to's by Yao and Cat and as a team. This loss can't really be blamed on any one player. And for those who think Yao should have gotten the ball in the end, I'm not so sure that's the best idea. He was probly tired as hell and his possession to turnover ratio was pretty bad this game. I'm sure the Raptors were ready for the Rox to go to Yao, but then again who knows? Stevie tried to pull us out in the end but he was ice cold this game, and, granted he did made some bad decisions, I would rather he have the ball than Yao or even Cat (remember all those games he won/tied for us last season with those last second threes?). I'm actually astonished by the fact that we went to double overtime despite shooting so horribly. I bet the Rox are gonna be infuriated over this loss and they'll win the next one. So stop with the damn Yao/Francis/Cat bashing. Unluckily for the Rox, Bosh had an awesome game (and we were playing the Raps at home where they are much tougher), so let's turn all our hate towards those Raptors and have faith that the Rox will kick their asses next time.

Oh and on a totally different note, kind of a strange thing that Cat has led the team in assists twice now. I wonder if JVG will experiment some with Cat being assigned the pg role like in his rookie year (ie making plays, spotting up for threes, and the occasional drive instead of creating his own shot) while Stevie is the sg (allowing him more free reign of creating his own shot without having to worry about making plays too much). Some have suggested this (I've pondered it as well) but usually it was shot down by those saying Cat's passing skills sucked. It's possible that because Cat wasn't asked to pass too much that the times he did try to pass were mostly because he was in trouble and trying to force something thus resulting in a to. But what if his main job was to pass? He certainly has the penetrating skills to open things up. I guess this is a moot point since JVG doesn't really distinguish the guard positions from each other.. oh well.

Well let's not get crazy! The Sixers that year had the Defensive Player of the Year, the Sixth Man of the Year, and the Coach of the Year so they were hardly lousy.

They didn't want Carter get a driving dunk, which is something SF forgot he is also capable of.

You know the funny thing about guys like Bosh. They shine because they are NOT the focus of attention on a team. Until they get scouted.
