It's not just that one statement that we think is negative...it's things like saying the hopes are over after we WIN a game that is negative. Most posts after a win should be positive. Just read a few of your posts and see if you can honestly say that they are not negative. ------------------

Look, I don't really know who Turn is. I don't go to the chat room, because the NBA league pass is only on one TV. My computer is not in that room. I come in here and post during the commercials, and when I leave the room disgusted. I have tried chatting once anyway, and I couldn't get through. I am still pretty inept when it comes to chat rooms and such. I'm not forcing you to all agree with me. I might change my opinion in a week or two. I don't think they will make it, but I still have hope. Its unlikely, but there's still a chance. Maybe I'll change my opinion after I see them playing live again. Just 16 days until they're back in Seattle. I was really positive after that game, and then the Rockets went downhill. That kind of made me feel pretty bad about the situation. Anyway, if the Rockets are able to beat a quality team some time soon, I might change my opinion. This isn't about a difference of opinion, this is about your constant negativity. There are other posters who don't hold my positive outlook on things - but I do not see them making multiple posts that are completely negative. ZRB, I thought you were going to stop being so reactionary. I know you are a fan, you are wearing your emotions a little bit too much on your sleave though. You cannot make a sweeping generalization of the Rockets playoff chances based on two halfs of play in 2 games and expect to be taken seriously, and when you clutter the board with this repeatedly it gets rather tedious. ZRB: I'm a die-hard Rocket fan w/ 200+ tapes of games from the past 17yrs.....I don't take your comments to be negative about our team...I have my own doubts about whether we can make the playoffs this year - and much of that doubt comes from that lack of experience that lets us play very crappy ball for even 1-2 quarters in these big games. Dude I read everywhere about how negative ZRB is but I didn't believe it until now. lol Seriously though, I don't know how long you've been a Rockets fan ZRB but if there's anything I have learned from watching them it's that you never ever give up no matter what. It's not probable that they'll make the playoffs but they have a shot and that's all anyone could ask for after last year. Heck I didn't think they'd come close to the playoffs but the closer it gets the more you want it. I think the team is hungry too! I am trying to understand you. Overnight, you went from Rockets will not make the playoffs (losing to the Hawks at the time) to will make the playoffs (after you embarassed yourself on the BBS) when the Rockets won, and now you are back to will not make the playoffs. You have your own opinion but stick to one. Now you can go back to watching Pokemon. ------------------
ZRB-I agree with your assesment to a point in that the Rockets don't look like a playoff team, but when they don't look like a playoff team, they look like world beaters... I thought the Rockets might have learned from their mistakes from the night before, then they came out and let the exact same thing happen again. They are fortunate to have been playing some lowly teams, because they would not have come back against some of the better teams in the league. Last night was an embarassment because I tried to change my opinion to improve my ultra-low standing on this board. That was a mistake. I can't just change my opinion if I really feel that way. Now, I will try to be positive about the playoff chances, but all I am saying is that when the season's over, I think the Rockets will fall about a half game, maybe even a tiebreaker shy. I will try to be optimistic, and I am well aware of the Rockets past history or doing amazing things. I don't think it will happen this year, but I hope it does. If the Rockets were end up missing the playoffs in the last game or two, I would have been massively disappointed. By setting my expectations low, I hope to be surprised. A lot of posters predicted wins in the upper thirties and low forties during the many season prediction threads in October. Those, to me, were low expectations. Still, if those expectations were exceeded, that just makes the season more satisfying. Now, I didn't bash the Rockets in this thread.
