Of course He can only be coming for something between the MLE and vet minimum, so if he end's up here he'd be a bargain and I'd be all for it. Wade for 20-25mpg of the bench would be a great role for him at this stage in his career.
If it's a buyout, and he's willing to sign for the minimum? Absolutely. But I want no part of that contract, even if it's just a 1-year deal. Wade is a shadow of himself at this point. He'd be an excellent rotational player and fourth guard, but he's not worth $20 million+ a season anymore or anything close to it.
A buyout and we get Wade for peanuts? Lord yes! Sign me up. Odds of that happening? Probably less than zero, but one can daydream.
You made this thread and I had to go run and check to see if they bought him out. Doesn't seem like they will...but Wade off the bench. Yes, a million times yes. We still have enough depth to get him plenty of rest as well.
Melo has a far better chance of getting bought out than Wade. That shows how cheap Bulls management is. They probably will only do a buyout if Wade takes $1mil.
Well it's sucks for Bulls right? If Wade wants to play else where, he could have declined the second year. But he op'ed in because he wants the money. Why would Bulls want to pay 23M for nothing? Wade was being greedy if he intends to play else where but still op'ed in.
Was wade being classy when he put 23M dead weight on Bull's book when his intention is to play elsewhere?
Dekker upgraded to Tucker Harrell upgraded to Black Beverley upgraded to Paul Anderson upgraded to Anthony Just need someone to upgrade Lou Will. Wade it is!
The front office changed plans not him. They told Wade and Butler they were not rebuilding. Wade opts in. Then a week later they trade Butler for youth and picks. He is going to get a buyout by mid season. He'll want to join a contender for another championship run. Cleveland and Houston are the top picks now.
