Black can't be traded till December also the way a sign and trade works is that Black would have to be traded from Lakers
Oh that's right. I guess that's why Morey won't hire me. Trade would still work if you replace Black with Onu and a pick. Or SNT Troy Williams.
Another Woj bomb. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...nting-new-york-knicks-trading-houston-rockets "As New York Knicks president Steve Mills and general manager Scott Perry pursue a meeting with Carmelo Anthony in the coming days, league sources tell ESPN that team officials will find a 10-time All-Star player counting on the franchise to carry out its previously agreed upon mandate to trade Anthony to the Houston Rockets."
Wow it says Portland won't be a third team unless Melo list them has the destination team he plans to join.
Lots of bombs in this one. - The Knicks front office completely alienated Melo, and it wasn't just Phil. - Melo has prioritized Houston over Cleveland. Seems to kind of infer that he wouldn't approve a trade to Cleveland. - The Knicks public ripping of Melo has driven his value on the market to an all time low...they shouldn't expect to get much, if anything. - Portland won't help facilitate Carmelo to Houston....they want Melo to add them to his list of "approved destinations". Cross them off the list.
Wtf is this about lol. I wonder if the Portland leak is correct. It doesn't really make any sense. It's no secret that melo only has two preferred destinations. I'm just going to ignore the Portland ordeal.
but why does POR even want melo when they could have ryan anderson instead? don't they know how valuable that decoy spacing could be to their guard tandem? he could stretch the defense out to eugene! they could win 50+ plus the playoffs are a small sample size, it's the regular season where you make your name and your fame!
Great stuff. This is the explanation to suspending the trade talk: another realization has washed over the organization, too -- that the months of organizational harping on Anthony, driven largely by deposed president of basketball operations Phil Jackson, has dramatically devalued Anthony's trade value. Mills and Perry are evaluating whether there's a window of time worth trying to rebuild Anthony's standing around the NBA, as opposed to trading him with it at an all-time low, league sources said.
You can't sign and trade an outside free agent. The Rockets cannot sign or otherwise acquire Wiltjer until June 28, 2018.
Not sure how much fortrigh and blunt Melo needs to be with these clowns to stop wasting everyone's time
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/carmelo-anthonys-contract-could-doom-the-knicks-to-mediocrity/ Super fascinating piece about Melos contract and his true value. Written in 2014.
You're right. Rockets13champs corrected me earlier. The numbers would still work with Nanu and a pick or NG
