    The Melo-Porzingis relationship is the real key. If they keep jerking Melo around, they run the risk of further damaging relations with Porzingis, jeopardizing their rebuild. If they do right by Melo, they can patch things up with Porzingis and move forward. Perry has a chance to build some goodwill here.

    If he was actually next to CP3...

    If he actually said "Melo" (and the guy isn't making it up or misunderstood what he actually said)...

    It means absolutely nothing. We know:

    - Chris and Melo are friends (could have been on the phone with Melo).

    - NY/HOU have been talking about a trade (could have been a call saying it's happening, not happening, on the 2 yard line, or any other update on negotiations)

    - Chris and his teammates talk everyday (he and James could have been talking about him).

    This is like the least informative thing ever... but eff it, it's a slow Melonews day. I'll take it.

    Doesn't move the happening needle for me though.

    The Knicks, in my opinion, need to look at this from a different angle. They dont not want Melo anymore and I think that is mutual. They want out of the contract and there is a way to do that... But they want much more than anyone will give BECAUSE it was The Knicks who gave Melo that ridiculous the contract. Melo is not what THEY (Knicks) thought he would be as a player and The Knicks are talking to teams as though it is Melo of 6 years ago and not the player that he is now. The Knicks need to lower their price a bit...

    That PHX report is interesting. Didn't somebody post just yesterday that PHX was the 4th team/offering Knight but Knicks weren't interested bc they wanted Bledsoe instead?
