How can you save money when bradley made more money than Yao? Stoudamire's salary is around $13 mil. Go to learn your math.

If they aint passing the ball, he should DEMAND! by whatever means, talk to francis at backcourt or even during halftime break in the shower room , i don't care, but as a dominant player, HE SHOULD SHOW HIS TEMPER AND DEMAND ! like how shaq slam the board when he is pissed! If Yao cannot even conquer his teammates, you think he can conquer NBA?

When Shaq was in Magic, he did NOT conquer Penny. But he conquered NBA.

Trade Yao? Are you people r****ded? Look the weakness in the NBA is Center we have a center. The only problem is time. If you dummies be patience you will be gratified Yao will be one of the top 5 players in the leauge in 3 years so be patient.

Dude listen, I know you mean well but this comparison just won't work. JONeal is a 20/10 guy in the East, that means when he comes to the West he'll be a 16-18/8-10 guy. There are just so many much better PF in the West and JONeal is not anybody's definition of a physical powerhouse, which ironically is what people are complaining about Yao right now. Also, our guards can't feed the post with a 7'6 guy in there, what makes you think they can do it effectively with a 6'11 guy? JVG wants an inside out game, we're gonna have an inside out game with Jermaine O'Neal? It'll still be the same ole backcourt plays. Oh, and we still can't run a fastbreak. Not to mention our D actually just got worse, by A LOT.

You don't trade Yao for anyone right now.
    ANYONE

He is almost unanimously viewed as the succesor to Shaq as the next dominant center in the league.

To even consider trading an asset like that for anything is nonsense.

You want to give up that for a mid-30's jumpshooter who is on trial in another state?

I would trade Yao for one player right now: Tim Duncan.
He is the only Big Man in the prime of his career who is worth Yao.
I wouldn't even take Shaq straight up for Yao. Not yet.

Not until, if three years from now, he is still a timid, gentle giant blowing in the wind of the NBA paint.

Because if he isn't, and the same natural coachability and instincts that have made every other aspect of his game so good already apply also to his toughness/dominance, we will be regretting it.

It is ridiculous to even consider.

teams with a dominant center or a guy named michael jordan have won the championship since like 91......a great PF might make us good like the mavs are good, but it wont give us a championship.
