If you're trying to make the playoffs RA could be a good fit. If you're trying to win in the playoffs, he's not a good fit.

The Knicks gave Ron Baker $4+ million a year?
    Ron Baker?
    We talking about Ron Baker?
27% 3 point shooter Ron Baker?
    7.5 PER Ron Baker?

Basically, don't expect the Knicks to make any sense.

i guess so. that seems to be the easy story. same could be said about some other players on the team but we can just leave it at that.

Is Ryan Anderson aka Alfred Blue? He lives on the 2 yard line. Doesn't move.

Portland is not fine with Anderson as much as they are more than fine dumping their own crap.
If this trade doesn't give them the option to dump Leonard, Turner or Crabbe nothing will happen.

    None.

They have completed shitty deals just fine without one for the last decade or so.

Potato Head was spot on, everyone assumes the Anderson to Portland part of the deal is the Third Team, but Knicks don't want Leonard, but will take Harkless. Woj in the OP saying this is a 4-team hunt is reconfirmed by others.

This apparently is just about finding a 4th Team to take the Leonard part of Potato Heads scoop. Rest is "done" and we are on the "2-yard line"

Of course, POR could be wrong (or change), but most think it is POR, with Morey hunting for a 4th team to take some contract NY doesn't want and HOU can't fit.

[EDIT] Also, read The Cat's post just a few after this one.

He just doesn't make sense for NY. They've got a franchise player at that position and want to add younger guys. That story is not really news.

Potato said "imminent" like a week ago.

Woj specifically said "not imminent" this morning.

Some NY insider said we are "on the 2 yard line" which is football speak for "imminent" or "not imminent" depending on which side of the field we're on.

This is such a disingenuous, grandstanding article. If the deal is at the 2-yard line, as they say (and I think that's likely the case), then I'm pretty confident that Portland or whoever the third team is has already agreed to take Anderson. The hiccup, as Woj spelled out, is the fourth team and offloading one mid-sized contract from Portland.

And if the Anderson taker hasn't been found, then the deal is nowhere close to the 2-yard line.

My guess: It's on the 2, Portland is taking Ryno, but Frank wanted to score some points with (and get some future scoops from) the New York front office by patting them on the back for their "stand."

Really RA is the only guy on our team who could be eliminated so easily. When an entire team focuses on Harden he can have a hard time, but with RA it's as simple as not helping off of him. I mean what else is he gonna do? Make a move off the dribble? Protect the paint? Control the boards?

His ability to shoot from way deep is good, obviously. And it helped us tremendously in the regular season. But when a D has time to instill in the guys guarding RA to stay close and close out hard, he has no Plan B.

Wasn't Isola essentially ostracized by the Knicks organization?
