It seems like people don't get it. We need a true PG and Mobley is the player playing in Steve's position. We should be able to get a decent PG for Mobley.

Mobley don't have a big salary, if you want to get rid of cap eater, trade Moochi and MoT, that's if anybody wants them.

Ward is actually the easiest of the three to get; he's been available for years. I'd like to acquire Ward, but not for Cat. If we give up Cat, I want a lot more for him than Charlie. I don't see NY offering us their pick unless it's lottery-protected.

there is NO way we get a 1st rounder for Mobley from anyone when there are other players involved.

and why are we trying to trade Mobley anyway. this is a 6-2 that has already won three games against teams that made the play-offs last year.

The reason he doesn't HAVE many assists is exactly why I'd like to have him on our team.

They would RARELY RARELY RARELY call plays for him. When they did, Malone and Stockton attracted enough double teams so that he could take a high% shot himself.

The thing with Harpring is, he gets his points off star players. The offense never goes through him. He scores by cutting to the basket HARD when his man plays off him, putbacks, tip-ins, and wide open jumpers. That's all. Mobley has the ball inhis hands A LOT, so he should be averaging mreo assists. Harpring on the other hand NEVER has the ball in his hands to make a play. He just finishes plays, which is why he was so good under Larry Brown and Jerry Sloan - Because those 2 coaches love their best player to have the ball at the end of possesion, as opposed to Rudy for example, who liked to start the play by giving it to his best player and forcing him to create.

Harpring also grabs a superb amount of rebounds, and is as good a defender at the 3 as Mobley is at th 2 - if not better. He also always plays hard, and when he dissapears, it's just because teams aren't backing off him anymore, meaning our franchise players are probably getting single coverage.

He also shoots a superb percentage from the 3 (althoug he doesn't take many) and also nails the open mid range J at an insane rate.

He'll feed off Yao and Francis (especially Francis' kick-outs and Yao's amazing passes) just like he did off Iverson, Stockton and Malone. We also get bigger and stronger in the frontcourt.

Why are we talking about trades when it's early in season and team is like 6-2 and top of the division? Plus we have like 4 key guys out?

If Micheal Redd was on the market, I would like to see him come in to play the 2. Harpring does sound nice, IMHO rather have Redd.

You couldnt pry Michael Redd from the Bucks for someone like Mobley. Dont get me wrong, I really dont have a problem with Mobes, but he's no Redd and Milwaukee knows that. Redd is the core of the Bucks and he's probably the most untouchable player on the team.

Also, don't forget that Redd recently (as in last season, I believe)signed a contract with the Bucks, if you'll remember back to the period when the Mavericks tried to steal him away from the Bucks with a big offer sheet that Milwaukee matched.

I said Mobley gotta go. I'm happy to see new changes then watch him play. The man is very inconsistent and still think he's the second options. Inconsistent players are those that dont totally follow the coach's decision and tend to play and go wild.

I don't know why everyone acts like Mobley is SOOO important to this team...sure he's got a great 3-ball, but when Eric Piatkowski comes back, that problem is taken care of.

Mobley also makes more money than ANY of the PG's that're offered in those 3 trades above.

And as for why some teams would want Mobley? Well Mobley can play fantastic off the bench, he did win 6th man of the year, and also has a great jump shot - sometimes. Teams like Philly, Utah, and New York can all afford to spend money on his contract too.

And so what if we're 6-2, except NJ and Dallas, we've played weak teams. So don't gimme that. A team can always improve (look at the Mavs).

Houston needs a PG, the last decent PG in Houston was Sam Cassell...Sorry but Matt Maloney definately does NOT count...

Right now Jamaal Tinsley isn't getting any minutes in Indiana the same is with Austin Croshere. I really don't think this trade is far fetch so here it goes:

    Rockets send:

    Maurice Taylor
    Bostjan Nachbar aka Boki
    Future Consideration (2nd rounder)

    Rockets Get:

    Jamaal Tinsley
Austin Croshere (He will never get caught smking weed)

    Our lineup:
    Ming/Cato
    Cato/Croshere/Braggs
    JJ/A.Griff/Padgett
    Mobley/Pike/Francis
    Francis/Tinsley

I have a feeling Ray Allen is going to available soon. Maybe Cat and MoT for Ray Allen. Cat can be their 6th man and Taylor can be their power foward. They might want Cato though but I think that would be too much the way Cato is playing.

That is the only trade I would do involving Cat.
