I don't like any of the options, so I didn't vote, but I will explain why I want him on this team, and that's that he has size and he can feast on the 3rd best defender since the most capable defenders on the opposing team will likely have to focus more on Harden and Paul. Also, he can shoot, so though he does work in the post quite often, he can still keep the defense from clogging the paint. In short, his offensive skills are the right ones to keep the offense running fluidly which is vitally important when you need options during key moments.
Getting "Olympics Melo", who is perfectly happy knocking down wide open shots and scoring points in bunches when needed, would put this team over the top. We don't know for sure if we will get that Melo, but it is definitely worth the risk.
-we have a much higher ceiling as a team with Melo at the 4 playing next to CP3 and Harden -acquiring Melo gives us a better chance of re-signing CP3 -Ryno is a 1 trick pony who is Ray Allen on the road, but Tony Allen at home...he's not reliable -Melo is another guy on the roster who can create for himself and can also make a play for others...he's a nice bail out option and can help us to diversify our offense with his post up ability and mid range mastery -Melo used to be 1 of my favorite players
Better than Ryan Anderson mainly, but he gives us half of the banana boat crew. We can beat the warriors with cp3-harden-lebron-melo-capela and wade off the bench
Didn't vote; my answer is that he can be a nice third star for this team. And having 3 stars can draw much more realistic guys than Lebron to Houston.
And in the playoffs too. I can deal with his home shooting woes; I cannot deal with his one-dimensional game being so easily shut down in the playoffs. If we were on that old 14th pick treadmill again then it'd be ok, but since we're trying to actually do something in the playoffs he ain't for us.
