I would reserve it until they do this for more than one game.

You started your thread a bit prematurely. You should wait until the end of the game to start threads like these, at least wait for the first half to end...

Marbury did outplay Steve, but we won and I'm proud of Steve.

Steve has learned that he can not and will not win a personal battle with Marbury, so what he did was play his role, play hard, play smart, and set the tempo. All that mattered was that Steve did what the Rockets needed, and we won.

    GREAT JOB Steve.

Moochie is a defensive specialist, he is very adept at preventing one of the teams on the court from scoring.

One thing I've noticed about the difference between Francis and Marbury is that Marbury's game seems to be smoother and more controlled. Marbury seems to play the game more effortlessly. Many of Francis's shots and passes seem to come out of desperation which may explain the turnovers. Francis can get off the circus shots and buzzer beaters but I'm starting to believe he will never have the court savvy to run the offense. What Francis needs is a PG to make his game easier.

guys.. don’t get emotional just because we won today.
I have to agree the original post.

Marbury owns SF. That's the reality.

If a win make you blind, then you must be naive or stupid. SF still has a long way to go and a lot more to learn.

Just loot at AI. SF is not even half brave, determined, smart and tough as AI when facing Marbury.
AI just simply dominated Marbury every time they met.. I am from Philly.. I watched their games from their DAY ONE.
Don’t give me they aren’t play the same positions … blah, blah… They are the leaders to their team. They dog fight from the first second.
Whoever plays tougher and can hold the other’s momentum will lead their team to a win..

Last night, AI again, single handedly beat Spurs, leading everything from points to assists. He just played smart and tough. Most important, he believed in himself. He was afraid of nothing… Shaq, Duncan, Marbury or whomever, it don’t matter to him. I am not saying AI is perfect. but AI does has a lot which SF could learn.

(A lot of people here only watch the box scores and final results instead of real games. Then they make comments. That’s really annoying.)

A win is sweet, but don't piss off the guy telling the truth.

Guys I'm not talking about wins and losses here. Trust me, I am very happy that we picked up the win. I'm just talking about Francis and Marbury. Last night Francis did have a good game, but I think Marbury could have scored 40 points easily on Francis. In the second half he was trying to get his teammates involved. I agree with rox99, that when Iverson plays Marbury, they do match up and Iverson usually has his way with Marbury. What I'm saying is that Steve will go at Iverson and take it as a personal challenge, but when it comes Marbury, he acts as if it's not a personal challenge.

Really? Well if we keep kicking their ass I'll take this ownership any day of the week.

It doesn't show up in the box score, he certainly didn't do too much owning in the second half, did he? From the time Phx went up by 9, to about the time Houson went up by 9, he was pretty damned quiet......what happened, I thought he owned us ?

Anyway, go back and look at the tape if you want. You'll note that in the second quarter, Marbury took over the game and scored like ten points in a row..........when francis was out and norris was in.

Again, that doesn't show up in a box score either.

Unfortunatly for us it is his own team that stops scoring.
