    O' Ye of little faith.

Yao Ming scored more points, grabbed more rebounds than Amare and one of his 2 blocked shots came was also against Amare. He the kid is damn good and started out better than Yao Ming but a game is 48 minutes long and tonight Yao Ming was better.

The Rockets showed a lot of character tonight. The next three games should bring the Rockets to 9-2. Anything less would be indescribably pathetic.

Yao is better than Amare this year almost in every category except Amare plays more minutes and takes more shot and have one more rebound. Here are the season lines before tonight's game:

    YAO

    PPG 14.9
    RPG 8.3
    APG 2.0
    SPG .71
    BPG 2.57
    FG% .507
    FT% .757
    3P% .000
    MPG 31.3

    AMARE

    PPG 15.4
    RPG 9.3
    APG .1
    SPG .29
    BPG 1.43
    FG% .418
    FT% .711
    3P% .000
    MPG 34.7

I have a feeling after this game, even PPG and RPG may go to Yao's favour.
    :D

Rocket shall be lonely on top at the end of tonight as Seattle has lost while Laker will lose to Detroit. Anything less than that would uncivilized. :D

phew, that was rough. cat and yao taking turns bricking free throws to keep the game close. cat going like 3 for 13, yao getting blocked a lot, jackson airballing one.

which brings up a point. did we set some sort of combined record for airballs tonight? i mean good lord. you've got marion throwing up an airball and then proceeding to top himself not once, but twice more. jackson shot an airball. steve or cuttino had one and had a few more just barely touch the rim. and i knew it was getting crazy when marbury had almost the worst of them all. i've never seen that many terrible misses, even in an eastern conference game.

but what's important is we won. and i'd have to give player of the game to mobley. not often i'd give it to a guy who shot like 3/13 and 4/8 at the line, but he was the man for our offense in the 4th quarter. between using picks and splitting double teams, he got inside phoenix's D at will and was either scoring or dishing to anyone and everyone. what did he finish with, 8 assists? he hit someone for a 3 off a pick, then drove for a layup off a pick, the split the double and handed off to ming for a slam (and nearly dribbling it through 3 phoenix guys), he found ming for the 3 point play, he hit jackson for the huge 3 with about 1:40 left, and he split another double and got fouled by jahidi and put another point on the board. he was just creating like crazy and causing havoc for phoenix. screw the earlier part of the game, he stepped up when needed.

steve saved us early and yao finally started getting himself inside late and cato blocked amare about 3 times, usually adding a "get that s*** outta here" after each one.

basically, it was ugly, but we kept the turnovers down which was huge and played well when it mattered and walked out with a W over a solid west team. 6-2 sho is nice.

who do we play now? since zrb is predicting patheticness if we lose any of the next 3, i'll assume it's the lakers, kings, and spurs or something like that. then again, zrb may actually mean we're playing pathetic teams. can never quite tell.

i just got back from the game.. and i gotta say, it was a great game. when we started picking up, the crowd got into it and it was just so awesome.
before anyone bashes any of the players, i felt the game was very unfair. they fouled us like crazy, but there were no calls!!! grrrrrrrrrr
but we won, so that's all that mattered :)
    go rockets 6-2

Yao need to work harder to be aggresive, it seems to me he is not strong and determinated to the challenge.

Did you watch the game tonight? Yao was anything but passive. He was aggressive on the court the whole night. The first half, his shot was off (3-9). But he found his touch in the 2rd half (5-7) and was a big factor that we won the game. His 2 3 point play in the 4th quarter were as big as Boki's 3 that got the Rockets ahead forever. Actually i think that this is Yao's best game for this young season. He was very determined and focused from the early going.

Sun was playing super aggressively tonight and I saw lots of fouls not getting called.

My favorite thing about this game was seeing Cuttino pass the ball 3 times when the game was on the line.

Yeah, he drove inside on one play, dished to Yao, for 2 and the foul! Now nobody can say that Mobley has never passed to Yao. :D

One more good sign is that even Ming did not play well at beginning, but they still keep faith in him and passed the ball to him. Finally Yao Ming got back his touch!

    BTW, Jazz coach is unbeliveable.
