On the defensive end PJ Tucker can't be our Draymond.

Draymond is he reigning DPOTY and has been in the running three straight years. Tucker is an ok defender. Never mind the Tucker can't guard centers and isn't ideally suited to guard PFs most of the time.

    You crazy dude you.

ughh...no he can guard draymond green. NOT BE OUR DRAYMOND.

It doesnt matter about the rest of the teams in the league. Its how we match up vs the warriors.

The Warriors will have you switching constantly. I like Tucker. His somewhat above average, tough, gritty, versatile defense is why he was signed obviously.

But this is a thread about who can be our Draymond. Which Tucker can not be. He's just not good enough. Offensively or sefensively.

yes and if we have a lineup with ariza, paul, and tucker on the floor , they can switch defensively

hes not good enough defensively??? lolol. By being on the raptors they were 8 points better defensively. Raptor fans are pissed he is gone. He is one of the actually good wing defenders and is very versatile. The perfect candidate vs the warriors when you switch

And That might be the thread title, but the question was posed in the thread about who can guard draymond green since "pj tucker is a small forward derp" Even though he is like an inch shorter and 20 pounds heavier.

i think zhou is a darkhorse in this. he has some of the longest limbs in the league so he can kick two pairs of nuts in one swing! bye bye curry and bye bye durant, rockets sweep warriors in wcf, lebron gets scurr and fakes an injury, rockets win 'ship.

Just when it had stopped, you started it up again. Just let it die now.

Wait no, that was a haiku.

He is a good defender who can
shoot with some length. The Rockets haven't overtly shown any interest in him, and are unlikely to acquire him.

Since, he isn't a Rocket, his name shouldn't be listed here. No offense intended.

no one... period. we will get knocked out every year from the 2nd round, even if we win 60 games with paul. First spurs have the best coaching staff in the league, 2nd warriors have the best roster since the bulls. end of /thread.

As I said, it's obviously an upgrade defensively.
My point is solely he can not be our Draymond.

Whether or not he can be super effective against the GSW is yet to be seen. He played against the GSW 3x last year, but all three times by December 3rd... and in all three games his +/- was better than the team's overall... but that was with the Suns, so it's not really relevant, imo.

It's crazy, but to me Zhou has as much a chance of being our Draymond as anyone. I don't foresee it happening mind you, and if it does it's 3 years away, but a guy who has a high bball IQ and unique physical traits that "might" help him be able to be somewhat versatile on the court. It won't happen because in the "real" NBA (not summer league, sorry), when he gets switched onto the KDs, Stephs, Lebrons, Westbrooks, etc. of the world, especially out on the perimeter... it won't be pretty....

But unfortunately that's what we've got right now...

He's a codman favorite and is even mentioned in his sig regarding players of interest.

Draymond Green is the most unique player in the league. I can't think of anyone who you can say has his same skillset. So far it has been Draymond and the Refs that have countered Draymond the best. Having someone just to bother Draymond / get into his head in a series is the best you can hope for.

How about Carmelo Anthony? He's tough, gritty, plays d, does all the small things, passes well, rebounds, is a winner,...oh wait never mind
