Not a bass player, but I got to see Dickey Betts play Stormy Monday solo on a 12 string bass while the rest of the Allmans were taking a break. That was sweet.
Not my top 5, but 5 I like that haven't been mentioned. Lemmy Steve Harris Geezer Butler Steve Youth Mike Mesaros
anyone else see Mike Watt & his Wife play before Firehose at the Perpetual Park Party at U.H. back in '92? They played and then the Firehose concert was moved to a small cafe (I forget which one). She plays bass too.
i was there too! i remember it started raining so they had to move the whole thing into an auditorium. firehose, king missle and i think catherine wheel? de schmog, toho ehio. we're old! huh huh.
you were the drummer right? did yall play that too? if so i missed it, but i did see yall. i remember a show at axiom/catal hyeck in '93? possibly with idaho and red house painters??? i had a couple records too. the single with "now youre a star(?)" and another with a magnetic fields cover. buddah on the moon were one of my favorite houston bands!
Yes I was the original drummer but got kicked out of the band right bf that RHP & Idaho show AND the Catherine Wheel show, gutted to put it lightly! I went on to play w.HK the singer in a few other things since BotM but that was a very hard lesson learned!
