He probably didn't even meet with anyone from the Kings since he's been broadcasting the SL games in Orlando, let his agent handle all the details. He said what he was looking for was playing time and didn't want to just sit on the bench, most guys his age I would think are happy to collect a check while being the 12th guy off the bench in garbage time but he wants minutes every game. I like what Sacramento has been doing. They came out and said they need to build a culture. And I say about time. That has always been laughed at for being like the worst possible destination and a crappy toxic environment. So now they are pairing their young guys with old players who won't help them win but can mentor them on how to do things "the right way". Good for them. They needed it TBH.
