Once you go Gay, you never stray. This signing reminds me of when Spurs got Richard Jefferson. Pretty good player, but didn't really fit what they were trying to do. But having a second tall guy capable of playing PF and SF is useful in matching up against GSW.
One of my least favorite players. Hard to believe I wanted him in that draft instead of the battier trade
I don't understand why the Spurs would want him. He's an inefficient chucker and someone I'm glad isn't on the Rockets.
Also, does this mean they plan on playing Kahwi at the 2 and Gay at the 3 or is Gay coming off the bench?
This reminds me of when Spurs signed Richard Jefferson and everyone thought it was great, and they got bounced badly in the playoffs two years ina row This is a bad signing. Gay is not a playoff player. Suck it Spurs. Grasping at straws to try to keep up in the arms race. Gay and LMA. Lmao
I see where you are going with that. I think his role is going to be different on the Spurs though. Plus, the Spurs will be able to get what they want out of him. They always do. Health? that's a different issue.
Not always true. The Richard Jefferson signing was of similar player type and a glorious failure. They now are wanting to break ties with LMA, too.
