I knew a girl named Priti in college. She was Indian or Sri Lankan. I think it is a common name.

My grandmother had an accountant named Mr. Crook. She argued that you knew he had to be honest because he was already operating with one strike against him.

Same here. And it is a fairly common name in India. It's actually pronounced "Preethee". And the one I knew was cute. :)

Sparky Woods, the name of the RB coach at Alabama. Nice guy, weird name. Dickey Nutt is another one. With a last name like Nutt, why would you pin a moniker like Dickey on the front of it? Just wondering.

Anybody remember "Dick Shiner" who used to play QB for the Falcons?

My daughter had a kindergarten classmate named "Sernedia." That's an ugly name.

I have a friend whos dad's name is Dick Hare.

My other friend is a teacher and once had a girl student named LaTrinkle. She would get mad at the student and have to say stuff like "LaTrinkle, stop doing that" etc. with a straight face. She said it was almost impossible.

I bet he hated those forms: LAST NAME, FIRST NAME, MIDDLE NAME.

I hope his mother's maiden name wasn't Love, then he might have to fill out such a form: Dingle Berry Love.

a subordinate of mine was named Thor Johanssen.

the usually aspect was that he was a 5' 5" Asian; he had been adopted by a Scandanaian couple.

I knew a girl growing up named Universe Love. The best we could do with it was to call her " Uni.."

But the all time grand champion of names was a guy my father knew when he was a kid. My father worked as a bank teller when he was in school, and one of their customers names was, I swear to God, " Waldo Dumbfart...or at least it was pronounced this way...and he lived in a little town called Knucklehead. I am not making this up. He spoke with a thick German accent, Dad says, but in English it came out exactly Waldo Dumbfart, however it was actually spelled, which I don't know for sure...Waldo Dumbfart from Knucklehead...My Dad used to always serve him after a while cuae he was the only tellar who could keep a straight face...
