or a massive red flag given his stamina and on-going groin issues.

TBH best news I have heard all month... if he can put on weight, learn a little defense, then the Rockets are 3/4th of the way there.!

Been a Capela fan since he started getting time.

I don't have cable so I don't see many games.

That being said since I don't see many gamed his weight gain during the season from beginning to end was very noticeable and he has kept his mobility so far.

Very skeptical of the weight gain. Sure, I hope he put on some major muscle mass where he needs it, while maintaining his speed and agility, but I also hope he didn't overdo it, and won't overdo it. I recall Yao's experience very well. I think he put on too much weight. Have no clue as to whether it impacted his injuries that ended his career, but one can't rule it out, in my opinion. Slow and steady progress. That's what I hope Clint is busy doing, making slow and steady progress building himself up so he can bang inside and not get pushed around.

Looking forward to seeing how he does this year. Hope it's with the Rockets. Also don't want Capela to be a twig, of course. Ralph Sampson, who I loved watching when he was with the Rockets and healthy, could have used modern training methods and medicine. He was an incredible talent. It might have saved his career.

Hakeem was a muscular and not a skinny.
I hope Capela follows his path
    Hakeem was plenty quick

i don't mind he become DJ 2.0. only defense and lobs, however Capela would have a better FT %. let's make the lob-city here in Houston!

He's probably wearing a 15lb weight vest. This is from last week:

He looks about 245 which is around where he needs to be 245 - 255

I think Clint has the body to handle growing into a bigger, more effective inside banger, unlike our new Chinese wing (who really does look like a "twig.") Just don't want Capela to overdo it. Hakeem's first year at UH, his redshirt year? He was pretty damn "skinny" himself. Saw him once or twice on campus. That didn't last, thanks to Guy and Moses. I'm optimistic about Clint, unlike some here, who are ready to toss the guy into any trade that get talked about.

He wouldn't have weighed himself and posted it if it was fat gain. He's clearly proud and it's mostly muscle or he's just naturally filling out.

    I think it's both.

    Clint is what 23?24?

It's only natural that his body would start maturing and getting bigger, and that's healthy and good.

I sure he's also training really hard so the added "man weight" doesn't effect the way he moves on the court. If done right it shouldn't effect any part of his game at all it should only make it better.

It would be one thing if he was trying to look like a muscle builder, then I would be concerned.

But the guy still looks like a basketball ball player. His arms are getting bigger and his legs and midsection also, Clint is going to have his best year yet next season in sure of that, how god will largely depend on what he's doing now, adding weight.
