We get it man, you REALLY REALLY REALLY want Melo on this team. I'm pretty sure most of the posters on this board would welcome Melo too. EXCEPT the Knicks, because we haven't put a package together that'll get him yet. If there's a deal to be made to GET Melo you know Morey is trying his best try to trade for him.
Their eFG% was similar (54% vs 52%), Curry just shot more free throws to compensate for his lack of scoring by shooting. Still, Cavs are one of the worst defensive teams and the Warriors are one of the best. Even if Kyrie puts up similar numbers to Curry, his performance should be regarded as more impressive.
and free throws aren't points? Curry played 3 minutes less, scored 2 points less on a much higher efficiency, got twice the rebounds and more than twice the assists. Wouldn't describe it as "meh" or as Kyrie outplaying him.
As long as they weren't guarding each other, it's very difficult to draw conclusions as to who outplayed whom. Notice that I didn't say Kyrie was better; just that Curry didn't really outplay Kyrie in that series as clearly as Kryie did to Curry a year ago. And yeah, keep ignoring the huge difference in the level of defense Curry and Kyrie are going against.
you just said Curry was 'meh' and Kyrie's performance "should be regarded as more impressive". Now you aren't drawing conclusions. Keep moving those gates, you are doing well.
Yes, Curry was 'meh' by his standard, especially against Cav's horrific (22nd in RS) defense. And I said 'if Kyrie puts up similar numbers to Curry', then that should be regarded as more impressive since the Warriors are the #1 or #2 defensive team in NBA. Whether or not you think he did that is up to interpretation, but I guess you don't understand what conditional statement means.
You expected bigger names, I am sure, it might still be happening....... I think we will get the picture of how all the players are playing in preseason and at the beginning of the season.
Just go check out how pissed off the Raptor's fans are. They really really liked this guy. He's a glue guy for the team. You're going to like him like you did PBev.
great news!! Tucker was very good in the playoffs. He also took less money to come here. I guess now no Shumpert trade and no Nene though.
Given what you can get these days with $8m, this was a good signing. Tucker is strong and athleic, can rebound and defend, things that make him an ideal back-up to Anderson (or Melo). Tucker wont put us over the top, but he is a good use of cap space. Now, we just need to find a way to turn Anderson into Melo, Millsap, or Gallinari.
I like Tucker way better than Shumpert thats for sure. The deal is great 8M a year for 4 years that is a steal in today's NBA. Don't be fooled by "big names" stars signing in FA make so much money it is ridiculous, I mean for example Curry signing for 40 at best that is already his true value as a superstar, Tucker is a value signing and at only 32 he has at least 5 more years in his prime. Its a good signing my only issue is at only 6'5 he wont be stopping guys like KD or Kawhi.
He may be only 6'5 but he's very strong. In the playoffs he guarded Giannis very well- he did the best he could do-, who is as tall as KD.
Well thats I havent seen any of his games, just know people say good things about him as a player, very Beverly-esque and thats not surprising if he is friends with Paul.
