Sure but just because he burnt the Rockets does not make him a potential hit.

Jason Terry wasn't his Dallas self here in Houston. He burnt the Rox frequently.

Now that the Rockets have CP3, Tucker is a much better fit than Beverley against Golden State. He has the height and length to matchup to either Thompson or Draymond, and you can play him next to CP3. Beverley you couldn't.

DeMarre Carroll guarded Lebron for much of that series.

honest question. Would you have rather signed iggy for the deal he signed with GS?

So basically Draymond Green minus the passing ability? yeah, I'll take that for 8mil per year

Ok you got toughness but the shooting gets worse..... We are likely getting rid of Anderson.

Draymond Green, yeah sure.... that comparison is accurate, why isn't he a borderline Allstar?

No he has a big body and it is what makes him unmovable. When you drive into him you bounce off when you try to post them up you can't back him down. He is big at 6-6, 245. It is a part of the reason why he wins his rebound battles at his height.

He can shoot compared to other defensive wings like thabo, iggy, and roberson.

What makes you think we were a great 3-point shooting team last year? We shot a mediocre 35.7% overall from beyond the arc. Tucker is a better shooter and arguably better defender than Ariza is at this point.

Let's just say he wasn't much of a difference maker with the Suns. Their record does not show anything otherwise.

Yes, he always played well against the Rockets mostly.

He will help, I am confident but it isn't a signing that has me jump out of my chair like the CP3 one or potential Rudy Gay one.

The PJ Tucker I know has only 24 games shooting 40% in Toronto, all his career he has been shooting around 34.8% or worse.

Such a perfect pick up for us. Just think, if Cod is right, this is gonna be one nasty, scrappy bunch. Tucker brings that edge. He brings leadership. We have had a lot of heart on this team (except in game 6) but we haven't had a lot of leadership.

Bev, was my favorite player on our team because of the tenacious way he plays. But now we have (at least) 2 guys like that! Chris Paul is like that and so is Tucker.

Everyone hated the Ryno and EGo signings last year but the ripple effects of adding them paid dividends. This year I think the ripple effects will be MUCH GREATER. The leadership and the defensive no-quit of the vets we are adding could totally transform how we play. Harden WILL be held accountable! And he's going to have to expend a lot less energy on offense.

Now... if we can just get Millsap... I'm ready for battle!

Did you watch PJ regularly in Phoenix? I don't think he's here just because he "burned the Rockets" -- he's here because he fills multiple needs, and apparently CP3 agrees. If he were a complete player, he'd be a star and not a role player.

What other 3&D wing did you want that we could've gotten on a partially guaranteed cheapish contract?

Let's hope they can get that done. That makes it a golden signing.

We cant get a 3rd star unless we have players with contracts to trade.

Nice signing. Watched some Raptors playoff games and he played well for them. Good to have another defensive guy on the team. Hope he can still play at the same level for the next couple years, I'm expecting him to fall off by his last year though.
