after the rockets, i would have to say the kings. but after going to the rockets/kings game last month, i don't like the kings as much. when i saw mike bibby and doug christie, they weren't very friendly..
Man there are plenty of great memories: * Mourning hitting that long two to eliminate Boston from the playoffs. * The Suns vs. Bulls Series was one of the best Finals ever. * Barkley hitting a jumper with a few seconds left over David Robinson to advance to the Finals. * Of course "Miller" Time against the Knicks.
Jordan's flu game. Anyting with Isaiah Thomas....I worshipped him. Celtics vs Lakers Celtics vs 76ers
that phony weasel........, but he finally got his compeuppance, thank you Larry Bird for me, the most memorable moment, was the baby sky hook by Magic Johnson
iirc, that is incorrect . miller hit a 3, pushed someone down and hit another 3 to tie it, the starks missed 2 free throws, and somehow miller got fouled and hit them both to go up by two, knicks don't score, game over. definitely one of my favorite moments b/c it beat the knicks. vince carter's dunk over weis, his reverse dunk on the pacers, and his one handed alley-oop against the clippers. the sonics losing to the nuggets b/c then i knew the rockets had a chance. rex chapman throwing in an impossible 3 for the suns, maybe against the sonics, in the playoffs. back when they would run the 4 guard lineup. and i'm just gonna throw in hakeem's block on strickland b/c it was so awesome, lets call it a portland play or something.
you may be right...i just have some memory of it delaying the game, so maybe i'm remembering that i was concerned it would go into overtime and delay the next game.
Rex Chapman's fadeaway 3 in the '97 playoffs I think with Phoenix Shaq breaking down 2 backboards in his rookie year Vinny "the Microwave" Johnson taking over games for the Pistons Grandma Ma's 3 pointer against the Pacers in the '99 playoffs for the 4 point play DRob's 71 pts Magic's comeback as coach and player
Jordan going for 63 over the 86 Celtics. Never seen an individual scoring performance like that. The 87 slam dunk contest between Nique and Spud Webb. Obscure moment: Lakers guard Van Exel lighting up George Karl's Sonics for 40 plus because Karl told him he would draft him but then passed him up.
I've never seen it, but I'd love to watch the 186-184 game between the Pistons and the Nuggets on 12/13/83. Most NBA teams can't put up 186 points in two games
Screw that... Some teams may need an extra half on top of those 2 games to reach 186 It's a good thing that JVG won't have to see another game like that or he will prolly have a massive heart attack with the extreme lack of defense that game had.
Favorite non-Rockets NBA moments? Not many because I'm a die-hard Rockets fan, but there are a few that stand out. Just about any Jordan game. Just about any Bird game. Reggie versus the Knicks Dominique versus Bird Lakers versus Celtics, circa 80s The Celtics are my second-favorite team (by quite a distance), so I enjoy watching Paul Pierce.
whenever Jordan played Miller Time (pre 2003, vs NY, Chicago, Olando...) When McHale got the ball at low post
although..... I am still tempted to say: "The shot" from Stock. well, I also love Sixers as much as Jazz. Plus I hate Bulls. So here you go. In one game vs bulls during AI's rookie year, he crossed over Jordan twice and hit the jumper in one sequece. Jordan's ankle was turned by himself.. LOL...
how come no ones mentioned this classic moment? It was in the playoffs.... I forget which year... Rockets Vs Jazz...and stockton came up...and canned a 3 with barkley in his face at the buzzer to send utah to the NBA Finals. Then barkley was crying in the locker room , haha. Awesome Then there was nick andersons steal of MJ. Also in a regular season game orlando vs philly...3.2 seconds left philly ball up 1...the inbounded a pass at halfcourt and darrell armstrong stepped in front of it and raced down the floor to lay it in at thebuzzer...best buzzer beater i ever seen...
