    True, but they also lost their glue guy and a 6th man candidate. People are underestimating what the rockets have lost. You pull the trigger everytime, but as it stands the rockets are probably the same, or slightly worse. Their ceiling and championship chances have gone way up though, as an extra star player will leapfrog them much more than the way they were previously constructed

    nurkic was a big pickup for them. a full season with him is definitely a plus. playoff team very likely 6-8

    It absolutely boggles my mind that so many people still think Rudy Gay is a valuable player.

    Solid scorer, mediocre defensive player, mediocre shooter, and worst of all he thinks he is a star. If Rudy Gay ever came to the realization of the kind of player he needed to be on a contender, then he would be awesome. But players with a star mentality ( I'm here to score, not defend or play off the ball) and role player abilities tend to not help you much as much as their raw stats would indicate.

    That's why his teams never get better when he gets there, or worse when he leaves.
