    we arent trading ariza. He is part of the reason chris paul is coming here. Arizas contract is one of the best in the nba. No way shumpert is replacing him. Shumpert would be to give us flexibility in making a deal next offseason or at the deadline.

    This give us a step in in salary coming in correct?

    Like gaining Tobias?

    Turning the 11m "tpe NGs" into an even higher salaried contract?

    Or would that be considered circumnavigating the cba?

    Shump is a decent player. Wouldn't mind having him at all. Can hit open shots but more importantly is a good defender.

    I'm Glad Clutchfans hates this move. If Clutchfans hates it, I feel a lot better about it. Rockets need tough defenders. I'm not mad.

    Yup, that's what I posted too before.

    Now why would Detroit want Shumpert? Perhaps they want to shave salary, but need back a wing to make the playoffs but can't find anyone better.
    It makes some sense.

    What if the Cavs threw in a draft pick or two in the deal as well? If the Rockets are willing to offer some cost savings to help them re-sign Korver, that would make sense. And then maybe Morey can turn around and use that pick or picks to (A) Move Anderson's contract, (B) Sweeten the pot for Melo/someone else, or (C) All of the above?
