Sorry if this has been posted before. I'm new.

I think it's best if the Rockets traded Eddie, I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't been trying. They should try to get either of the following:

    - A high draft pick for next year's draft. Trade him to a team like Miami.

    - Trade him for a caliber power forward or small forward.

    - Add another player in the trade for a all-star caliber player.

Although I'm not high on the third choice.

Any thoughts? Please keep it flame-free. I am simpily stating an opinion. Thank you.

We could probably get a 2nd rounder for him but that's about it right now. There is no telling if he will come back at all this year and at the end of the season he will be a free agent.

say youre a lottery bound team, are you willing to trade your lottery pick for someone who has

    a) not lived up to potential
    b) has personal problems
    c) might never play in an NBA game again.

theres a better chance that the majority of the board would root for the jazz than any one of those scenarios happening.

OK, in RiceDaddy's posting career, by my count, this guy has started three threads today consisting of the following:

    1. I'm rooting for the Utah Jazz

    2. Yao shouldn't be an All Star

    and

    3. Let's trade Griffin for an all-star or a lottery pick

    ...chicanery or stupidity?

I think the most that we can get in return for Eddie Griffin at this point is maybe a beer and a bag of peanuts.

Until he comes back, puts on a uniform, and gets his ass back on the court, his trade value will continue to be next to nothing.

    Hahaha.

Well I said Yao shouldn't start, not that he shouldn't be an All-Star. And the Griffin should be traded comment is very rational.

I got a question to you all...

Would you feel comfortable in trading Griffin for Rasheed Wallace? I think the Blazers may bite.

I am with you, verse. EG has some problems, that cannot be disputed, but he also has a ton of game that has just been waiting for someone like JVG to get it out of him.

Good luck to Eddie as he recovers from his depression. I hope he comes out of it and begins groveling for his job back so that he can get his life back on track.

It seems like you have to be an outlaw to be part of the Blazers' criteria for a player. :)

So do you guys think Rasheed Wallace would be a good trade for Griffin? I bet the Blazers would seriously consider that.

    ...

About Eddie returning, there's a chance he might see the light, but is it worth the risk? The Rockets don't look like they're gonna resign him, and if he proves by the end of the season he's acted up, he might not sign with the Rockets because of their failure to resign him in the beginning of the season. Either way, a trade is a better possibility.

If you could get any type of quality in a trade for him, I would do it. Otherwise I'd hold on to him and try to get him playing again. I think his trade value is too low, therefore I think we should just try and get him back on the court.

Excuse my Waltonism, but this is quite possibly the one of the stupidest posts in the history of internet forums.
