He deserves it after being paid less then bench player money and getting them 2 rings KD gonna end up take the vet minimum
Curry deserves every penny he was underpaid for so long. I hope they pay him the supermax and GSW has no money for everyone else.
Deserves every penny, used to be one of my fav players when the warriors were still underdogs getting bounced by the clips. His sudden rise to stardom has definitely made me sour on him, but I love his game and he never complained about his bargain salary once, unlike others in the league. Good on him, he's going to go down as the best Warrior of all time (If you don't really count Wilt's stint)
Good for Steph, he definitely outperformed his last deal. Does anyone know how his deal affects their cap situation and what their luxury tax hit will be regardless of Iggy's decision? I just can't imagine their ownership agreeing to pay the large tax bill that's looming when Klay and Draymond are possibly re-signed in the coming years when Steph and KD take up about 70%-80% of their salary cap.
If Curry gets $201 million of which by the way he deserves every penny, then LeBron may in fact deserve $500 million for what he brings to the NBA and the Cavaliers. It may be time in the next CBA for players to negotiate stock options or equity stakes in their team because they do not profit from the team valuation going up and windfall upon the sales of a team. For example, Steve Ballmer paid $2 billion for the Clippers -- a billion over market value -- because Clippers had Paul, Griffin, and Jordan. Would the same occur if the lineup was only Rivers, Redick, and Crawford? The player should wise up and start buying stakes in their teams or pool resources and go after a team next time one goes up for sale. The NBA is an African American dominated sports and it's about time ownership also reflects that.
I don't think I've ever said this with the new CBA. But dude deserves it, every penny. Was signed on a bargain before.
