This is pretty consistent with what my sources have been telling me regardung the instant thermodynamic situation. Plus 5 stars thread, will refresh again.
I get the joke, but I kinda like what Morey has done at the start of free agency. He recognizes that he doesn't have the money to offer all of these quality veterans what they can probably get on the open market. So rather than personally meeting with 2-3 guys and crossing his fingers that he'll get a bite from someone, he's throwing out a wide net. He's calling guys to say "Hey, we'd love to have you on the team at this price. We're going to win a lot of basketball games here and have some fun, and we have a solid role for you to play in that. Let us know if you're interested." He can't sign even one-third of the number of guys he's been linked to or contacted. But he doesn't expect to. If he gets two quality guys out of this group, though, that's exactly what he's looking for and that's kind of what the rotation needs right now.
Funny thread but I'm getting anxious. The approximately two dozen threads aren't helping. Paging @cyberx
ClutchFans interested in ALL free agents! I think someone could post a rumor about every free agent out there and no matter who it is, there would be members for the guy and members against. If we were firing missiles from every keyboard, they'd be flying in their hundreds, with members dodging the damn things, cursing, and firing back. In other words, things are pretty normal around here.
While there is no certainty in this take, it does seem that the 3rd superstar option is evaporating. Paul George - Traded. Melo, really only feasible if bought out and chooses Houston. Hayward - Seems destined to land elsewhere. All these other names are 2nd and 3rd tier options. Now, the right combination of these level guys could make for a very formidable team. But the right guys would have to show up willing to take pay cuts to realistically challenge the Warriors, at least on paper. This could change if we find a taker on Ryan's poison contract (good player, but payed WAY too much).
