@The_Yoyo various reports are actually saying that Millsap will probably get something around 25M instead of his max (35M), and the guy wants to win, i think there's a good chance we can eventually sign him to a good deal, if we actually want him btw.
Exactly! All signals and common sense is that he's far from our first option. MDA and Morey want all offense, 3pt shooting bigs or SFs in the front court.
I guess my hope is to see what the Rockets can do on the buyout market. I would imagine it would take Capela, Ryno and a FRP for starters and salary matching for ATL. I still think that doesnt move the needle enough. I would prefer to try to wait for Melo on the buyout market, but again I am not running the team Daryl is and he has way more info than I do (thankfully). I just dont feel sold on Milsap personally
Best case scenario is sign & trade Anderson and fillers/2nd rounder for Millsap and get Melo after a buyout. I don't see the Rockets trade Capela unless it's necessary to get George on a multy year extension.
That is toxic when the goal is a common goal of winning a championship... I would just go after Millsap and hope Melo comes free!
Man.... tyson chandler would be a massive get if we can get him here in Houston.... You have good points on Millsap. But he is old. and still in some sort of his prime.... If we wants to win and is willing to take say, $25 million a year, the Rockets should pull the strings and get it done.
