If Morey had matched Parsons after signing Dwight, the Rox would have been in the same situation as the Clippers were for the most of the lob city era. No flexibility, a severely anemic bench and limited assets

Thank God Doc isn't our GM

Throw MDA into that mix as well. Everyone knows if they come here, their stats will look nice and lofty after a year or two. Agents eat that **** up, knowing it'll be an easier sell to their client's next team.

Hey hey hey. Ain't nothing wrong with Ryan Bowen. We'd be lucky to have a bunch of Ryan Bowens on a capped out team. Who else is going to shut down Dirk?

To be fair, those are all supposed to be decent vets or locker room guys that contenders sign to fill out the bench. We'll probably have a similar list in the coming years. Over the hill ring chasers who either used to be former all stars or former career starters or rotation players. The problem was having the cap tied into a big 3 of Cp3, Blake and DJ. 2 of those guys will miss 20 games each and DJ isn't carrying anything when both of those other guys are out. Also a bad thing, is those old guys can't carry the team when your stars are missing so many games.

With the Rockets, Harden has proven he can carry bums to the playoffs on his own..CP3 missing 20 games is not a big deal when the ultimate goal is just trying to get to the WCF to face the Warriors who barring major injuries will always have the #1 seed anyway.

We only need a couple of those old vets, i rather we try and find young guys from the d-league or international. I hope we play it smart and steady and even rest our guys a lot so we need youth on the bench that can play. Popovich way. Were a playoff team now. No need to go all out playing our 2 stars 40 min a game all season just to try and get the #2 seed. Reminds me of the Dream, Glide, Chuck teams playing all 3 of them 40+ mpg all season and playoffs. Ridiculous. Especially given their age at the time.

Do Paul and Griffin get along well?

One would think Blake should be the first option if they did, they were just teammates for years.
