So was looking to buy a few games from summer sales to play while I'm on the trains while vacationing in China and noticed that the Steam CD Keys were up to 60% cheaper here. It requires me to have China as my country of residence on my credit card (which made it a no go and I had to go back to the US rates) but this is likely why so many games keys sites were able to get cheaper keys for the games.

Thought with interesting, didn't know that before.

Makes sense. Gaming is an industry with high fixed costs (software development) and low variable costs (distributing, hosting the game). So, they want to spread their costs across as many customers as they can, using a lot of price discrimination to get each segment's maximum willingness to pay. Even at half the price of an American customer, a Chinese customer is still clearing his variable cost and contributing to offsetting the fixed costs and adding profit.

I've been wanting to build a budget gaming high-end pc myself. It's quite possible but the only thing is to get the SSDs on a great deal as well. I'm not going back to hdds with 1 TB SSDs on deals at just $250 or less.
