I was at work. I have Woj tweets alerted to my phone. I got the alert, read the first sentence, "With Chris Paul opting in to..
." and my heart sank. But then I saw "trade the 9 time all-star to the Houston Rockets". Then it was freak out time. I immediately rushed to inform my fellow co-workers yhe news. Ironically, we has just been discussing how the CP3 to Houston rumors "had legs"..

 

We forgive you. This time. This is it though. How does a shower not short circuit your electronic wiring?

Where was I? On an elliptical at Planet Fitness after finishing my "light" but thorough workout. The news on the monitor was welcome during my coolout session. I thought we had gotten off relatively lightly on the trade 'til I read that Harrell was included too. Looking forward to adding a PF by trade deadline.

 

I was having heated arguments and not feelin that well - just recovered from a severe flu.

Involving a fantasy team with Chris Paul on it.

It def lifted my spirits immensely.

 

At work and my son texted me about the trade. Great father/son moment.

 

At work being sad that we lost Patrick Beverley

 

Having my dinner at midnight... Surrounded by friends that have no interest in NBA.

 

Work was cancelled, so asleep. Woke up to missed facetimes, about 100 groupme messages, and immediately knew something big was up

Asleep here in California. Woke up about 2 mins after I got the bleacher report alert on my phone. Been awake since watching for more news. Went to sleep last night with the local CBS LA interviewing CP3 about that meeting yesterday and woke up to him being traded to us.

 

I had Jack in the Crack last night (Tacos and Eggrolls muthafuka hellz yeah) This morning I was taking a **** and browsing the ESPN app... It was just released so it wasn't even a top story. They just nonchalantly mention Paul will be traded to the Rockets in a sign and trade and it was "first reported by the Vertical".... Needless to say that toilet got as much as it could handle.

 

In Anchorage, Alaska. I was sitting in a restaurant, when my buddy saw Chris Paul with a Rockets logo next to him on a tv across the room. I was with a bunch of non-sports people, so I had to causally pull out my phone and check cf. I've been completely disconnected from sports for the last several days, of course it would happen now...but holy ****, it happened!

 

I was at the Louvre when I received a text from my brother.

At 6 am yesterday I received a text that this trade was probably going to go down. When it was announced I had just got done explaining to trey on Twitter that cp3 had not officially opted out and he had informed the Clippers Tuesday that he wanted Houston. Trade was announced by Woj right after I got done explaining it to him and telling him I was going to put a cryptic post up on cf that you couldn't cipher until after the fact. But Woj announced it before I could get that done.

I was DM'ing on my phone and missed the tweet. Trey seen it and his response was OMG. HE GOT TRADED. I had to ask him who HE was. He told me Woj just tweeted it. I said there you go. Pretty cool moment.

I was binding a copy of my novel and missed it completely. I found out about 13 hours after it was announced. Kind of embarrassing.

 

I was at work after a so-so meeting with my boss. Friend group texted something about and CP and us or SAn Antonio. I said Houston. Then another friend texted something about the trade and I immediately went to CF and the woj to confirm. Nice time at work.
