    Daryl Morey and Harden (and maybe Ariza, too) worked hard to recruit Chris Paul. But I don't think this happens without some external factors. Kevin Durant and the Warriors forming a super team changed everyone's calculation. The Clippers and Chris Paul might have kept their team going and hope for better health luck if not for the existence of the Warriors.

    Seems like we should thank Dan Gilbert for firing David Griffin while he's in the middle of trying to make major deals, too. Stephen A. Smith said that CP wanted to go to the Cavs and Griffin was fired in the middle of trying to make things happen.

    The warriors pissed off the league and we are benefitting. Hopefully Silver doesn't Stern Paul again.

    I've been saying this too, that this would be the response.

    Some teams would fold (Like the Bulls, Clippers) and build for the future and some teams will try a little harder. It's why I kept telling people the Warriors guaranteed to win the next 5 years...forget about that.

    Too many competitive owners and players in this league to just lay down and roll over for them.
