Human interest: Years ago when Chris Paul was a rookie I performed for him and the NBA players association at Harrah's in New Orleans. Adam Ferrara was the headliner and I was the guy in the middle, the opening act was a local comedian. At the time I was kinda struggling as a comic with 2 young kids and a mortgage. I had expected to be paid in cash at the end of the gig, but I was given a check. I barely had gas money to get home and had food from the pre-show reception saved in my car for dinner. After the show Adam was selling his professional merchandise (CD's, t-shirts, etc) and occupied the main sales area, I stood on the side with CD's that I had burned on my computer and had my name written in sharpie on the front. CP3 came up, introduced himself, shook my hand, said nice things about my set and asked me for a CD. I told him that they were 10 dollars. He pulled out a 100 dollar bill and handed it to me. I told him that i didn't have change for a hundred, he told me not to worry about it, shook my hand again and walked away. It was likely nothing to him, but it's career and pro sports moment that I'll never forget.
Someone post that video of Christopher Walken talking about Denzel Washington about to paint a masterpiece from Man on Fire.
I still can't believe so many actually wanted Morey gone. He's not perfect, he has had some arrogant flaws about his way of thinking, but if he isn't the best in the business he's very close. The Rockets will never be caught with their pants down with Morey, and he has never been scared of big game hunting.
