Yeah, you can move the team. I was thinking of making a few computer teams move. I'm looking at you Montreal and Tampa Bay
AL East teams are really hurting right now. Boston is down a little bit but you'll have great revenue stream. Toronto is probably the best team in that division, though.
Besides Boston, Detroit is another option... they don't have the revenue of the Sox, but Detroit has a really strong farm system, possibly the best in the league.
also, for new GMs, to talk trade or just to find out anything, the chat room where we are is #houstonrockets. If you don't have IRC and use the link off the CF.net front page, just change where it says #clutchcity to #houstonrockets, and that's where we are. That's where we usually conduct the draft, which will probably start later tonight...
I wanted to play, but Chuck decided to be an egomaniacal jerk type commish. Too bad. Why did Zac quit again?
Hello, sim league forum peeps. Long time no see, those of you who never leave this forum anyway. I wanted to reprise my role as Cubbies GM, but if they're taken I guess I'm forced to take the Red Sox. I do wanna know too, tho - why would Zac quit? He's the coolest.
Sammy, It is good to have you back! I got to thinking that although I, at first, would like to see you run the Cubs (there have only been 3 human managers for the Cubs in the sim - you, me, and BGM (who didn't last a full season)), it might be better for you to run Boston since you are an experienced manager and they are going to be a challenge, at first. But maybe you and Oski can work it out on who has who. As for Zac, I think he quit running the league because of school stuff (I think he transferred after his freshman year to some place in PA but I am probably wrong).
Aw, you're just sayin' that 'cause I traded you Cyclone Harley for a song. I'm still at Ithaca, Manny, and the way I recall it is that Castor took over the sim from me when I went home last summer due to the would-have-been dropoff in my connection quality; he was willing to keep doing it after school resumed for me and I was in no great rush to force him to give it back.
Cyclone Harley! I remember him. He took a talent drop though and ended up pretty crappy, if I'm not mistaken. Cool name, but I bet whoever I traded to you had a better career. I got way more mileage out of trading with Manny for Danny Ong, or even the famed ex-Expo Brian Pilkington.
Might have gotten combined into this thread, but it definitely served its purpose. I honestly thought that maybe just one, at the most two people would be interested in this, but it has been incredible at how many people have joined! Once again, don't be afraid to speak up if you have questions about anything with this league. I will say this, though: make sure that you familiarize yourself with this forum. All of our threads, like lineups, transactions, trade discussions, re-signings, etc are in this forum. And McFist, you are welcome to take Oakland. A new updated team list looks like this: Oakland - Iron McFist Texas - computer Seattle - fyrsten Anaheim - computer Cleveland - TheCat Minnesota - moestavern19 White Sox - Htownhero Detroit - Kam Kansas City - available Yankees - Puedlfor Boston - SamCassell Tampa Bay - bobmarley Baltimore - Jonsi Toronto - computer Arizona - computer San Diego - Manny Ramirez San Francisco - DVauthrin Colorado - computer Los Angeles - DEANBCURTIS Cincinnati - ChuckG Houston - Buck88 St Louis - Diehard Rocket Cubs - Oski2005 Pittsburgh - computer Milwaukee - computer Florida - Heath Atlanta - GreenVegan76 Mets - boville Montreal - Zac D Philadelphia - computer Once again, if a team has "computer" by it, that means that team is available or has been unclaimed. Also, don't forget to check the draft thread to see where you draft. It has information that you will need to use.
