ok meeting boring, jontro browsing. i took a look at the rosters and this one is difficult. for example i was gonna go one way but then the opposing coach makes me go another.
RedRed Coach: Chuck Daly CalvinMurphy/JLin Drexler/Sefolosha Gay/Batum Horry/BenSimmons Wilt/McGee FTW Coach: Pat Riley PG: Chris Paul / Derek Harper SG: Jason Richardson / Avery Bradley SF: Ron Artest / Richard Jefferson PF: LeBron James / Raef LaFrentz C: Tree Rollins / Andrew Bogut FTWs starting center averaged 6 rebounds a game for his career vs Wilt Chamberlain. Im sorry there is no way you are winning this lol. Ben Simmons will have to guard Lebron so I guess that would be a huge advantage for FTW. Drexler and Calvin Murphy will be very good defenders vs CP3 and Richardson. I think Wilt is just too dominate down low for FTWs team tho
Tree Rollins (career started 77/78) never faced Wilt (career ended 72/73) head to head. LMAO. Also, I believe judging is based on peak play. Tree Rollins was a great defender during his peak (all NBA defensive teams), very mobile, and led the league in 82/83 with 4.3 shots a game while also grabbing over 9 RPG in about 30 min.
Jmc. I think Jmc has better players, and he has Popovich. I would prefer a real point guard on i3artow's team. TMac chucked too much, I don't trust him as the main point guard. Also, both clubs could use some 3D players. I never liked Lavine. No backup point guard on i3artow's roster. Also I don't remember Oden ever being good. He had solid games statistically, then he was bad, then he was injured. When i saw Oden, it was kind of "ok, in a few years this guy could be the best center in the league, if he stays healthy", not "I would want Oden to be our center in the playoffs right now".
I dont think you understood my point. He averaged 6 rebounds overall. He has to guard Wilt which wont end well.
RedRed vs FTW: RedRed Coach: Chuck Daly CalvinMurphy/JLin Drexler/Sefolosha Gay/Batum Horry/BenSimmons Wilt/McGee FTW Coach: Pat Riley PG: Chris Paul / Derek Harper SG: Jason Richardson / Avery Bradley SF: Ron Artest / Richard Jefferson PF: LeBron James / Raef LaFrentz C: Tree Rollins / Andrew Bogut Ftw. Both clubs look nice, well built. I think I'd start Batum on one club and Bogut on the other. Batum gives more spacing for Wilt and Bogut gives more ball movement and offense (before he lost his arm). I think team FTW has more talent. Also I like the coach more. It feels a bit silly to judge coaches, like a school kid judging a university professor. But Riley coached Magic, and he coached some great defensive clubs. This club looks built for defense and it has a Magic-like player. Daly coached clubs that didn't have much post game, so Wilt is new territory for him. Daly's Pistons had some good post players for a few years, but they were guards and small forwards.
JMC: more well built and balanced. I3artow team doesn't seem to fit well to me. Tracy at point won't result well. FTW: I like the combo of artest and LeBron at the forward spots. Doesn't seem anybody can guard LeBron comfortably at the 4 spot. Daywalker: though Giannis and kristap is inexperienced for playoffs their talent outshine the opponent team. With their length I find it hard for oelman team to score. Only Shaq will get his points but the rest of the team would not do well.
JMC 2. Matchup - Nobody 3. Matchup - FTW Playing James at 4 is a risk. He has shotblockers but I doubt he has great rebounders. Mainly because Redemption has less to offer. FTW has very nice Defense. The detriment could be James and CP3 are both ball hawks. There is only 1 basketball. I dun like Artest and James combo to be honest as they are similarly built and Artest is just a very poor man's version.
That was just a little jab. Nothing personal from me here. You still got Valanciunas, Sabonis, Marciulionis, Jaskevicius who are good. All Dmo threads deserved their own threads.
I think Larry Bird is the key to Yung's offense and also Defense in the Front Court. Yung T has the ability to slow you down on the perimeter with his swarm of defenders. I haven't seen tons of Payton but he was a good scorer actually. He would own Beverley and Hinrich on O and D. I would prefer Hinrich over Lawson yet Lawson is the better scorer. Jordan will get his. I think you rule the Center matchup - Deke Prime and Sabonis - there is nothing he can do. Red Auerbach is interesting as I have tons of respect for him, otherwise your starting lineup is better on the paper. His bench is very interesting full of underrated shooters. I like Auerbach a tad better here. Steve Kerr would also have been someone I would have picked.
Thought Auerbach was a Russian Jew descendant. Well, must be talking about yourself...history figure.
