Adding insult to injury... Unfortunately...if you want to switch now....they wont refund the $159.00 you paid for the package. Apparently...even if you dont receive the service they wont even give a pro-rated refund. They are THIEVES!!!!!!
I've had Dish Network. They completely screwed up my billing and they have the collective intelligence of mold when attempting to fix it. I couldn't get them to understand that 1 guy in an apartment shouldn't have to be paying 2 bills for the same service. Took about 2 monhts of arguing for them to understand that they were double-billing me and give me a refund on other charges they shouldn't have charged.
I have COX, and it isn't much better. I called them up talking to them about whether they will pick up any Rockets games in College Station on their CH.15, and the people I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about. Eventually I got a hold of a guy who said that they were in talks with the Rocket's about picking up some games. I hope they do, Tim also told me this the other day in another thread.
I have you all beat. I just moved to Dallas from Ann Arbor, and was bent on getting Comcast and League Pass so that I could finally watch the Rockets again after 7 years of living in Michigan. It took them two weeks to figure out that my cable box was messed up and they came to replace it the day of the NJ game. When I came home from work, my face lit up at seeing a cable box that actually worked. Then I found out that the Comcast guy broke my TV and and it no longer turns on. Of course, he claims it never worked in the first place. Sure...and Mo Taylor doesn't smoke weed either right.... Bottom line is, yes, Comcast definitely blows.
I had a similar problem yesterday when I couldn't get any of the LEague Pass channels (although I subscribed, the screen kept popping up "this is a subscription service....."). So I called customer service, and they didn't know $hit. Told me they would send a guy out the next day (today). Between 9am and 5pm of course (WTF is up with that BULLS%#$##$%!!! I hate that!!! How hard is to set up a time, or at least a time frame - like within 2 hours. F*$#kin' utility companies, they get you buy the balls cause you got no choice). I digress. So anyways, the guy comes out, turns out he can't do anything. He calls someone, and THEY FIX IT ON THE OTHER END!!!. I was like, "Why couldn't they have done it when I CALLED THEM?!?" Infuriating, to say the least. I have Grande. They suck. I don't have ComCast, but they suck too!!!!!!!!!
!!!All Comcast customers that want NBATV!!! Call Comcast Customer Service and get the phone number to your "Consumer Advisor." Complain to them. Not the customer service rep. They are clueless. Who's above your "Consumer Advisor?" That would be your Regional Vice President. You can get his/her number if you really press them. I did.
Just a bump so everyone can see once again how they blow. Tonight, I miss another Rockets game that I fully expected to see when I paid for their crappy digital cable.
