Good comeback by Kerr. People somehow always think the past is so great. I do not miss the good old days with Pistons and Knicks doing hand to hand combats every trip down the court.

Agree that it is a good comeback.

That being said. I do miss the old days. I prefer that type of basketball (not the iso ball from the late 90s early 2000).

To respond to Wallace. Haha haha haha. Of almost every championship team they should be the last to say this.

It probably wouldn't even be any of those teams. It would probably be something like the Suns with Steve Nash and Amare and Joe Johnson and Shawn Marion.... you know, all solely due to matchups. Some team like that would take down these Warriors (not dramatically, but a squeaker)- one you'd least expect.

Nah, I think if a team took down these Warriors, it would be who we'd expect: the 1996 Bulls.

The Warriors present a problem for nearly every team--in the current era, the Spurs can match their defense, but how they match their offense? The Cavaliers can kinda match their offense, but how do they match their defense? With former teams who have had players speak up--the Showtime Lakers would have the offense to match, but not the defense. The 2004 Pistons would have the defense, but not the offense. That Suns team you mention would get run off the floor--the Warriors would stop them way more than the Suns would stop the Warriors.

The Bulls are one of the very few teams who can bring an elite offense and defense to the fight. I still give the edge to the Warriors, because their offensive system is more sophisticated than the triangle and their defense is the product of years of scheming against both iso-heavy and pick-and-roll offenses. That's part of evolution--the evolution of schemes and knowledge.

Warriors are a very talented team on both ends of the court. Most won't give credit to the Warriors because they hate them.

The Bulls also had size, something that gives Golden State issues. Their 2nd three-peat had interchangeable matchups: Harper, Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc

So people are using Bob Cousy to argue in favor of the Warriors now? Must have struck a nerve.

These Warriors are self-obsessed glory hounds and have been since 2015, from Steve Kerr on down. They all seem like reasonably decent guys (well, aside from Draymond), but together they just stoke each other's egos.

There are several teams from the past that could beat this Warriors team in a 7-game series.

The 2004 Pistons aren't one of them. Not even close. That team would be completely overmatched and get swept easily. Hell they would get their asses kicked by any championship team from this decade.

Emmitt Smith says 94 Cowboys would beat the current Warriors.
Derek Jeter said his 1998 Yankees would crush the Warriors.
    Did I miss anyone else?

it took the greatest shooting performance in nba finals history to beat the warriors in the playoffs and they still scored 116.

pistons could probably slow them down slightly but not enough to keep up with them offensively,

Prince and billups would not allow curry and thompson to breathe. They would funnel everything to durant. People don't want to remember how great that detroit pistons team was. They'd bring down the warriors to scoring in the 90 points range. Not even a question. Just because most teams now don't know or like like playing transitional d, doesn't mean the teams that did will magically forget how to.

Would be a great series. Pistons really didn't have a bench but that starting 5 was just nasty

My neighborhood team would annihilate the Warriors. They just didn't let us play to prove it.

that pistons team was an AMAZING defensive team but very average offensively

they were 29th in points per game and 18th in offensive rating.

they were 26th in 3 pointers attempted per game (11.8), 23rd in 3 pointers made (4.1), and 16th in 3 point percentage (.344%)

    the 2017 warriors attempt 31.3 3's a game, while making 12 a game, while shooting .383%

they would blow them out just from the 3 point line. even if they could slow it down that's still a hell of advantage from 3.
