Man, I hope I spelled facilities correctly. I'm not so sure I have thread title editing privileges. So a lot of stuff on here is saying that we need to get rid of Ryan Anderson. First off, no. Dude has serious range. He literally spaces the entire court differently than anyone else in the world. Second, I'm gathering that he's color blind at least to a small degree. He went on the road and shot better consistently. Red is a common color blind issue. His agent will never EVER let him admit it. So what do you do? We've got a guy that can get it done from long range and can hit mid-range if asked to. So why get rid of a great asset? Solutions to color blindness and shooting long range shots: The rim is orange. The Rockets wear red. Fans wear red. Will we stop wearing red? No. Will the rim be a different color? No. A possible solution: the practice facility could easily mimic the next game. The practice facility court is completely in control of the ownership, so why not control a facility that mimics what players might see in the background? Have some random artist create the seat/fan background and pull it down at the practice facility like a curtain or a movie screen. Not an actually video screen, but color combinations that actually mimic what Ryno is seeing. Trust me, it's far cheaper than a new NBA player and Ryan Anderson can get used to visual depth if he practices under stadium-like conditions. Recreating stadium conditions at practice could help players practice what they execute. You could have a pulldown for any color combination. Have a pull down for Popavich or any coach you're intimidated by, but recreating the stadium, home or away, could potentially be valuable.
if the Rockets are looking to create max cap space, then Ryno should be the 1st one in line to be dealt Where else other than from a random poster on Reddit was it said that Ryno could be dealing with color blindness? Ryno and color blindness is a theory, not a fact.
lol. Is Ryan Anderson also color blind to human bodies? He sure as hell doesn't' see them when he plays defense.
why do you guys keeps aying that? did yall see the ****in playoffs? his extra spacing was useless, they treated him like any other good shooter - sag off for help defense then close out, and it worked so good he shot less than 30% from three! LESS THAN 30% FROM THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! WAKE UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!
I'm kind of lost here. Even if he was color blind to red, how would that make it more difficult for him to shoot on his home court? You can still see things clearly when you're color blind... they just don't have certain colors...

i've given up considering excuses for this scrub. despite the bloated salary he got, homey's just shouldn't be starting in this league.
This is dishonest. He shot 44% in the first 5 games vs the Spurs making almost 3 per game, and went 0-4 in the 40pt loss 6th game to end 39% overall. That last game was not lost because of anything they did to guard Anderson. Against OKC, we damn sure got into the lane at will because of spacing and forced Donovan to stop playing Kanter. One series he shot great, the other series he sucked but we won 4-1.
you mean he had 4/6 good shooting games from 3 vs the spurs and 5 in the whole po's. but also just one vs okc which was 5 games aka a lifetime in the playoffs. his shooting efficiency vs the spurs was were u want it at, but his low ppg makes it nearly useless at just 11ppg. he's getting paid 80 million dollars. he has to score more than 11 points in the ****in playoffs! and what is this..okc shutting him down to 12% from three? thats insane! thats all mental, thats not their defense. ugh, if he's giving harden extra spacing, then why is harden's shooting efficiency still borderline like any other po's? the only positive for ryan is that it was just his firstyear, so there's still hope. he should be avg something like 16-18ppg like eg. instead he's just giving extra spacing to who? i dunno cuz harden's shooting has been the same. lou had a career year that started la then had a terrible march with rockets, eg's efficiency was ok, nothing special. bev and ariza's efficiency is the same as it always been. hopefully he shows up 100% next season if we dont trade him, which i think he can be traded for something good. he's still an elite stretch 4. in small ball era those are worth a lot.
