just curious: what is the incentive for an outfielder to catch a deep fly ball in foul territory if it means a run scores? Wouldn't you just want it to drop ? I guess you take the out, but still...
It's crazy watching an Astros team so prodigious with the bat. When they were good in previous forms it was pitching and defense that did it. This team just swings the big wood and it's amazing. The way everything is rolling right now is something special.
You always take the out unless it's late and that one run is pivotal. Outs are precious, it's the same reason nobody bunts.
