We include the yao only fans.
We include the fans who want rox play bb the right way.
We include anyone who is tired of going to the lottery every single year.

We exclude those who enjoyed rox pathetic past few years.
We exclude those who enjoyed isos and empty seats.

Just incase you havnt noticed, most of the posters on this Forum are complaining about the Rockets problems or difficulties in one way or another. Possibly you are one that has not realised that JVG's Rockets are a work in progress.[ I cant realy accept that you realy fall into this catagory]. We all just won't know how thing are going to turn out till much later on when JVG makes his adjustments.

Some of us don't really need that explained to us. Some of us, believe it or not, have been watching professional basketball for longer than many of the complainers have been alive. Some of us actually enjoy winning and realize that the only stats anyone cares about in July are the one's in the win and loss columns.

The Rockets are better five games into the year than they were at their best in the middle of last year. There is always room for improvement, but the only improvement some of us really care about is represented by wins and losses.

Some of us want they play in the right way and win consistently.

Some of us want rockets to play beautiful like the Kings.

Who doesn't, although the Kings wouldn't be my first choice.

I just get tired of the complaining. I get the sense that after the first championship, all we would've have heard is, "They play ugly. There's not enough scoring. Kenny Smith sucks."

It's hard for me to comprehend people not caring as much about winning the game as what stats the team puts on the board. Sounds like worrying about player ratings in NBA Live. Makes no sense.

I think we all still have a bitter taste from last season...I for one have only got to actually watch two games this season, being out of Houston and all, but I have been very impressed with the amount of ball movement and smart defense I've seen. This team is going to rock this year.

    OMG, Yetti whips out sarcasm...

Your forecast for Hades tonight, temperatures in the low 20s with three inches of snow expected...

I think he's close to his breaking point. One more 30 point game from Steve and Yetti will begin slitting throats...

I'm sorry, but it's extremely rude to talk about your own mother that way. Who cares if you're 38 and still living with her. She's still your mom. After all, she did buy you those Houston Rockets pajamas for the big sleepover when the short school bus brought all your drooling friends over.

And, believe it or not, winning begets winning and doing what it takes to win even more.

That is not always true, but it is often enough.

So, here's to keeping on winning and then wanting to win some more, and winning more.

Jeff, winning just doesn't come automatically just because one wishes for it.

How one plays, how the team plays, philosophy of offensive and defense all have a directy effect on how consistent you win.

If winning could be done without any means to get there, there would be a magic pill that everyone could take.

Well, to speak on a positive note...

I think that, given the setbacks we've incurred, we're doing an outstanding job - much better than I'd expect. If you'd have told me that, after Yao playing hoop all summer in China, MoT missing a ton of practice with a dislocated shoulder followed by a 10 game drug suspension, Griffin completely AWOL with personal problems and checked into a hospital for help with severe 'personal problems', a brand new coach and coaching staff, and two new key players benched with injuries... that after all that, we'd be 4 - 1 and in first place, I'd say you were insane.

With all that in mind, even when I think about some of our players' weaknesses, I still gotta be pretty damn happy with the Rockets.

Turn down the TV, tune in Gene-O on the radio, and watch the Rockets execute well, and that'a s pretty damn good recipe for happiness.

If the Rocket's can sustain this ratio of wins and losses, then the team will win over 60 games this season. It could happen. Well, at least it is nice to think about.
