I saw Eddie with Mo Taylor the other day. I think they were making pizza...They had these bags full of oregano.
don't worry, when the media stops reporting on people, they don't dissappear. We're just going to have to wait it out, but to be honest, the way we are playing, i'm not missing him much at all.
I hope eddie dosn't come back, but for the rockets i hope he comes bak n plays damn good so we can do som kinda trade mayb ?? All though its unlikley
If he plays as you just specified, why would we want to trade him? Here's hoping the psychologists can chase his personal demons away.
Yeah I saw them in the fields picking mushrooms and they told me about the Pizza they were making. Then they said they were going to get sauce or sauced or something. That is good that they can hangout together and make pizzas.
I also saw them making some pizzas. They said there favorite thing to drink with pizza was ice tea. And they had the sugar, or sweet and low in little lines on the table ready to put in there glasses.
Just playing devil's advocate here: What if we'd drafted this kid, then learned that he didn't quite live up to his potential in his second season because he'd played the entire season with a nagging physical injury of some sort? My guess is we'd cut him some slack and give him time to recover. It bugs me to see everyone get so down on EG because his problems are mental and/or emotional, as opposed to physical. He's still got all the same exceptional talent he had when we drafted him, plus a couple of years of NBA experience. IF this depression is real (and not something cooked up by his agent to justify EG's erratic behavior), and IF he gets proper treatment and understands that it's up to him to make some changes in his life, there's no reason he can't come back and become a player who'll produce and not let the team and fans down again. Sure, those are some big IFs, but other players have overcome behavioral/personality problems to produce. I say we take a deep breath, let Eddie complete his treatment, and see how he responds on the court. We might just have an NBA player on our hands. If not, we take action then. His trade value can't get much lower than it is now anyway.
top five are you saying you support drugs, im guessing you are. and also i see your post count is at 420. i dont think clutch appreciates this around here...
Hey, who are you? Do I know you?!? Do I support drugs? Well, I've been doing them most of my life. Just this morning I took a couple of Tylenol, in fact.
Personally, I'd rather see Eddie recover as a human being before he recovers as a player on the Rockets. Basketball isn't everything.... Cod
I hope EG recovers, but even if he does, will he improve? I don't see it. He hasn't improved a lick since his first year, hell he's had a poor fg%, poor dribbling skills, and no post up game his whole career, what makes anyone think he's going to change that? Can anyone name a young NBA player that was in trouble with drugs or depression and came back to have a solid NBA career? He'd have to improve his game 200% to even be close to having a solid career and we've all seen the lack of improvement in the most instrumental years of his young NBA life. I hope he's the exception, but from what he's shown us so far...lifeless interviews, lack of improvement in his game, players claiming he's introverted and standoff-ish...he doesn't seem to care much for the NBA or the great opportunity he has. I think we can get those 8 points on 33% shooting from some where else. Let Eddie go. He needs to find something he enjoys doing in life(besides smoking it up) and do it, because he doesn't seem to enjoy the NBA life.
I agree with TOPFIVE. U guys all rag on him but when CD drafted him, 95% of the ppl in hea loved the trade. I still believe Eddie will be a GOOD player. With VG as coach now, he may actually get the ball in the post when he demands for it, instead of getting waved off by Francis and CAT when he has good position. He does have some problems, but depression is a disease that can GREATLY effect a person. Rudy T lost the team last yr, so all we saw was the 3 guards run wild. Mo Taylor was just signing for that price and Moochie and Maloney should get CD fired. All those stupid draft picks CD done other than Cuttino. But then again if we had drafted Lewis, we prolly would have improved and would not been able to draft YAO. Mike Wilks is prooly betta than MOOCH. The ball boy is betta than MOOCH. Why in the world did we not keep RICE and let his contract run out instead of getting BigTitties and the trade exception. We need better draft experts, ours really SUX. Here is what I mean: 2002: Yao,Boki, Tito = Tito?? over Ronald Murray and Lonny Baxter!!! 2001: Griffin, TMorris or RJ, Zach Randolph,Parker, G Wallace, Arenas, Okur. ( I like Grif but it could have been) 2000: Collier ( Great White Whale) Langhi or Turkoglu, D Mason, Q Richardson, Jamaal Maligore, Michael Redd, Mo Pete, (a Big Mac w/ some fries would have been better than those too) 1998: Cat, Dickerson, Turksan, Drew = Cat and Dickerson but other 2 could have been R. Davis, Al Harrington, R Lewis. CD needs to get fired, our draft expert/idiots needs to be banned from houston. Get well soon Griffin and cuz lords knows WE NEED U back. Braggs,ManTitties will not be able to man the position for 10 or more games. Padgett pretty decent tho
Gee, you think? Ever been clinically depressed? It has nothing to do with what opportunities you have or haven't been given, and affects EVERYthing you do in life. If EG is actually depressed, I'm not surprised. For an example of an athlete who has overcome mental health problems, look at Ricky Williams -- his attitude while with the Saints made him the whipping boy of both fans and media. After he sought help for his particular problem (clinical social anxiety), he's become a more outgoing person AND his yearly rushing totals have increased by about 50%. Well, you'd have to look around a while to find someone who can contribute nearly 9 points, 6 rebounds, and over 1.5 blocks in 25 minutes of PT. And chances are, that person would be a career bench player with no upside. You guys act like Eddie's problems are all caused by a bad attitude. I'm just saying that MAY NOT be the case. If he gets some help to get his head on straight, all that potential will be looking pretty good again.
