MOOCHIE NORRIS AND WALT WILLIAMS ARE NOT GOING TO GET THE CALLS FRANCIS AND TAYLOR ARE GOING TO GET BECAUSE REFS GO BY NAME RECOGNITION. LEARN THIS RUDY AND WE WILL GO TO THE PLAYOFFS!!!!

For once, I agree with WaltSucks. The starters should always be in during the final minutes. The starters are the best players, so they should play.

You sure our CBA lineup won't help us win in the 4th?

Rudy needs to f-ing wake up...

ZRB........I have actually agreed w/many of your posts as well tonight. You have been right on the money with what you have been saying. I think we could all sleep a bit better at night if we lost games with our best 5 out on the floor. It is just hard to stomach night in and night out when Anderson, Taylor, etc. are not out on the floor when the game counts. How many games did Rudy cost us earlier in the year when he had Hakeem on the bench at the ends of close games. Play the starting 5 because they are the best and have the most experience in helping us to win games. Shandon plays great D and has experience in much bigger games than these with Utah. Mo has carried us on his back the last few weeks. Both these starting players found themselves on the pine at the end of the game. This does not make sense. Rudy needs to put his intuitive ego aside and play the best 5 at the ends of games and for heaven's sake give the ball to Francis at crunch time. I swear Rudy would freaking give the ball to Moochie or Cutino if he had Micheal Jordan on his team!!!

From the Coaches Cookbook:

Rule #12, regardless of their performance earlier in the game, conditioning, injuries, attitude, or match-ups, put your starters in for the fourth quarter.

Lamenting...why did I read this thread.

You know, there is already like 3 other threads discussing Rudy's substitutions in a game, perhaps you could have posted this in one of those, eh?

Starting a new thread does not make your opinion any more or less valid or correct.

I guess that you would have pulled Moochie out of the Indiana game?

Yeah what the hell was he doing playing? We need the games to be decided by our starters. Oh my God if Mooch had missed that shot. Ouch. Guess this thread, or another like it would have had 40+ posts.

Go Mooch!!!

You guys are pathetic..have players playing just because they are the starters??
I suppose if Mooch was 15 of 16 up till the middle of the 4th..you would yank him to put in maybe..Jack? on one of his 2 for 16 nights?? just because he STARTED the game? Thats ridiculous!
The lineup should ALWAYS be determined by matchups and who ever is shooting good at that time.

Just my .05 worth. (adjusted for inflation)

I don't know why some of yall get all worked up over this play your starters junk. It reminds me of Calvin always screaming for someone to go over the pick. An exercise in futility indeed.

Rudy has ALWAYS coached the game with more of a feel than a set pattern. He sometimes goes on hunches. Sometimes they pay off and sometimes they don't.
