Kevin Kuryani has been so dominant this year, playing on an overachieving team that relies heavily on his young shoulders. This dude is a very rare specimen. Unbelievable. I got to watch him vs. Eintract last weekend. Wow.

He's a good young player, but I don't think he's gonna have a chance until he moves to a bigger club, puts up bigger numbers, and start having some success in the champions league or at the national level. For now, I'll stick to the Real connection (Ronaldo, Raul, Zidane, Beckham) as having the best shot. I don't think anybody playing outside of La Liga or Serie A have won the award in the last 7 or 8 year.

I want to go back to the days of Lothar Matthäus, the motor behind the german Tank.

He was the first FIFA player of the year.

I think Kuryani is on his way to it. He is even a little better than Van Nistlerooy. Unbelieveable.

Stuttgart is going to make some noise this year.

If he can start putting up numbers like van Nistelrooy and lead Stuttgart to a Champions League victory, may be he will have a shot.

I think Kuryani gave the answer to the question it self!
    I'll give u a hint:it's somewhere on his head...

He is a talented player, but far from being the player of the year even in Germany. Only if he joins a team like Bayern, he will have the stage to get there - and that would be just the start. He would then have to carry his team a long way.

    Errr... no.

Great young goal scorer. But he hasn't looked as impressive as Owen did 3 years ago for Liverpool... and retrospectively, most people think that one was a mistake. I think you're getting too excited by his age and his team's overachievement.

You think, for a single second, that his manager wouldn't trade him (for 1 year, at least) for Thierry Henry, Mackaay, RVN, or Raul? Of course, "who would you rather have" is a different question from "how well are they doing," but I still think the answer is the same.

Personally, I'd give it to Henry, right now (and I'm a Man Utd supporter). That team has no depth, no great alternative goal scorer, and their other superstar is hurt as often as not. But they're leading the Premier League. And while Arsenal are sucking in the CL (as usual :D )... it's not Henry's fault... he's the only one scoring goals for them there.

My DC united just got ousted from the playoffs. And it looks like Etcheverry is done. But it was a good run.

Yes, I am a little overexcited after watching him. Anyway if it isn't this year, within the next three. This guy is special.
