We're beating our opponents in all aspects of the game, which I like.

The Rockets are beating their opponents in everything which I love. We are scoring 90 points per game and giving up only 78 points per game! We are out-rebounding our opponents by 6 boards a game. We are averaging 2 more assists per game then our opponents. I love this. We aren't just winning because of one aspect of our game. We are doing everything to win!

That is a problem we have now having to keep playing teams with more crappy records than us. :D I wonder when will that stop - Christmas Day!

The two-time defending Eastern Conference champions aren't crappy.

It's amazing the difference a coach can make, even with a severely depleted lineup. Hustle, discipline, in your face defense, hit the open man, get Yao the ball, fast break points, improved decision making, knowing how and when to use role players, helping Francis become a true leader. JVG is wresting control of the asylum from the inmates.

Last year, we couldn't even figure out a way to beat the weaker teams when we needed to.

    I'm pumped.

The Rockets true test will be against Dallas and Pheonix. If they can beat these teams, they are for real. So far they have shown they are more focused than last year because the are beating the bad teams(ecxept the injured Nets). Even if they only win one of the games, but lose competively to the other, I will be happy. GO ROCKS!

Nets were playing without Kenyon Martin, Rodney Rogers, and Lucious Harris. That's still no excuse for the Nets tho. That doesn't excuse Jason Kidd for going scoreless in the second half. That was definitely Rocket Defense that stopped J Kidd in that game.

The Rockets are taking care of business against teams they are supposed to beat. Something they didn't do last year. We lost to all 4 last place teams last year. The Clippers beat us twice. We win just one of those games, and we're in the playoffs.

This is the NBA, not college football. We don't make our own schedule.

What is our ranking in the NBA for Assists and Turnovers? I would think that our Rebounding and Blocks have improved from last season?

yeah, but were really beating the crap out of the crappy teams. Thats the only way to seperate your team from the rest of the crap. you gotta knock the crap out of 'em. The Rockets don't take no crap.

I dont wanna get too excited yet.. we have only played crappy teams. Even the nets arent that great this year, it seems like everyone is beating them. Our first real test comes thursday and then friday... if we can also defeat pheonix and dallas, then we're for real.

what's wrong with being happy about a 4-1 record to start,

were we supposed to be 1-4 and happy?

every win counts towards that 6,7 or 8 seed in the playoffs.

I am very excited until proven otherwise in April.

Its all about the playoffs, baby.

we are leading the league in fg%, opponents lowest fg% and 3pt %. we are second to last in turnovers, but we will start to take care of the ball better

Big test will be agains the Mavs, I'm not gonna get too happy right now, we started 5-1 last year. I mean, even the Jazz are 4 - 2.

That was the year before. We then had injuries and the drug problems with a few of our main players and then the bottom just fell out. I know we can't be thinking like this, but at this point, I'm more worried about when might the injuries start. We typically got off to 9-1 or 10-2 starts for most of the 90's and before you knew it, somebody major on our team always got injured. I think if all well goes well though with our health and teamplay, we will be at least in the lower half of the playoff bracket. I think we have a decent shot at beating Dallas, and I think we'll beat the suns and blow out the heat to put us at 6-1 or 5-2 by Friday. Like y'all said, I do admire the discipline and hussle and that our defense is only given up around 80 per game.
