Almost everything is going well now. Hinch could probably draw names out of a hat to put together a batting order and still win. Perhaps Hinch should take a game off. Did you see how Springer just delivered with bases loaded & 2 outs? He seems to rise to the occasion with runners on!
How's that moving Correa all over the batting order thing working out? #imakethingshappen #billgatesmoney #amistandconsultingyourmlmconsultingcompany
Altuve and Correa should never be batting 3rd and cleanup? That stupid stubborn Hinch. Stubbornly sticking to a lineup that is 2nd in the league in runs per game and averaging over 6 runs a game since you started advocating for a lineup switch. You said Correa needed to drop in the lineup (you put him 8th) to "regain his confidence". Hmmmmm.....I think Correa has regained his confidence while staying in the cleanup spot, but I'm just a mental midget so I must not be seeing things right. Of course, you said that Hinch is a "loser" manager who keeps players in the same spot in the batting order and expects different results. Hmmmm....I think he has kept his lineups pretty much the same and, voila, they are producing better results, but I am a mental midget so I must not be seeing things right. I'm a mental midget, what does "FU" stand for? #amistadconsulting...wegooffthedeepend #imakethingshappen #billgatesmoney
Altuve got 4 big hits (2 doubles & 2 triples today), but only 1 RBI. Springer got 2 hits with 2 RBIs. Altuve & Correa should never be batting 3rd & cleanup since they have low RISP averages. Period. McCann/Gattis have high RISP averages (near 400) and should be batting clean up. Perhaps if he made a small change at top of order, we'd be 1st in runs per game! And why don't you stop following me around, loser!
just let this thread die. he's a giant troll. clearly no one agrees with his randomness and changing views, save for 1 or 2 canyoneros
Over the past 3 seasons, Springer is batting .215 as a #3 hitter with a .346 OBP. Let that soak in. As a leadoff hitter, he is batting .271 with a .366 OBP. Altuve on the other hand is hitting .328/.374 at leadoff and .343/.392 batting 3rd. Clearly, they have performed better in their current batting positions than in your desired positions. #imakethingshappen #billgatesmoney #billthecatbrain

I'm talking about this season, not the past. Altuve and Springer Numbers this season shows Altuve has produced much better with bases empty than with RISP while Springer has produced much better with runners on, but not well when bases are empty. Therefore, Altuve would be better at setting the table for those with much higher RISP like Springer, Gattis/McCann, etc. #loser and idiot watching things happen since 1999
False? Just check the 2014-2016 stats. You work for Amistad International Consulting. I am sure you can figure out how to search for an individual player's stats on sites like ESPN. In addition to having yearly splits (which are moot for this season since they haven't hit in the positions you want them to), they also have three year splits. You have absolutely no idea (I could stop right there), how each would perform in those hitting positions this season. Just because a hitter hits one way as a lead off, doesn't mean that will transfer over as a number 3. #amistadconsultantsdontknowbaseball #billgatesmoney #billthecatbrain #imakethingshappen #coachflipkeepsscrewinguptheQUOTEfunction
You're irrational, but like to argue for sake of arguing. Springer would've gotten more RBIs in 3 spot. Why do you like the Astros? They don't like you! I bet it burns you up that I called the shot (Wheeler for Lidge) that got the Stros to their first ever World Series. I made it happen while you watched things happen, bobwreck!
So, you think the entire game would have played out the exact same way with a different batting order? And you say that I'm irrational? #coachfliphasmagicpowers #imakethingshappen #billgatesmoney #billthecatbrain
The lineup is 2nd in runs scored, no need to mess with it. The team has the best record in baseball and people are still finding things to beotch about. Shocking. How about let hich manage his team and we enjoy the ride.
No, I'm saying run production in 1st inning would increase and winning would be easier with a better batting order. That means batters who do better at setting the table are at top of the order and those with high RISP batting after them. Real simple stuff, but you do better with watching things happen. I was like that when I was a teenager, too. So, let it go...
Yep, I've been watching things happen all season. Oh, to be a teenager again..... #imakethingshappen #coachflipquotesFrozen #billgatesmoney #billthecatbrain
So, for a moment, let's imagine Altuve and Springer switched places yesterday and everything happened the exact same way. For the first 6 innings, it is relatively simple to do this. Clearly the first inning stays the same as they both doubled. Now we move on to the 3rd. Altuve would have led off with a triple. Reddick flied out to CF - perhaps Altuve would have scored. Heck we'll say he did. Springer would have struck out. Gattis HBP and Gurriel flied out. Now we are up to the 5th. Altuve would have tripled and then 3 outs followed. Heck, we'll again say that Altuve scored on one of the first 2 outs. Now we move on to the 6th. Bases are loaded and Altuve comes to bat. His 4th at bat is where he struck out, so no runs that inning. We move on to the 7th where we have a Springer single, a Gattis single, then 3 outs. In the 8th, we have a couple of ground outs, Altuve's double and then a 3rd out. 9th rolls along, Springer makes an out and the inning closes out. So, we know for a fact the Astros scored 3 runs yesterday. With the exact same sequence of events the Astros MAY have scored 3 runs, just depends on whether or not Altuve would have tried to score from third while outs were being committed. So, I'll take the sure 3 runs rather than the maybe 3 runs. @Coach Flip
