Lol today's nba is a joke if they don't get control of this league and make it real competition I'm a just stop watching... focus on nfl.

 

nfl quality is declining too. and patriots are pretty much the warriors of the nfl. foregone conclusion they'll win

 

It's better than when the bulls were dominating.. At least now the finals is interesting. Back then it really didn't matter who made the finals - the bulls would win every year regardless of who they faced

 

Lol, why should they start now? Shzits been going on for decades. They ain't ever gonna stop untill people STOP watching. Untill it gets The Kardashians-unbearable people will keep watching.

 

That's not really true, just because the Bulls won 6, it looks like there was no other competition, but the East was competitive and the West playoffs was stacked and really fun to watch. Blazers(1x), Suns(1x), Jazz(3x), Sonics(3x), Lakers(1x), Spurs(1x), Magic(1x), Knicks(1x), Heat(1x) all had 60+ win seasons from 91-98. That's not counting really good teams like the Rockets and Pacers that couldn't quite crack 60. Bulls faced a game 7 in 92 semi's, a game 7 in 98 ECF and many more tough 6 game series.

Even the middle tier to bad teams had fun young rookies or up and comers throughout or 2-3 all star or near all star level players....Kidd/Mashburn/Jackson Mavs, G.Hill-stackhouse PIstons, Mighty Mouse Raptors, Shareef Grizz, CWebb Bullets, CWebb/Sprewell Warriors, RUN TMC Warriors, Zo and Larry Johnson Hornets, Glen Rice Heat, Derrick Coleman/Petrovic/KAnderson Nets, Iverson Sixers, Garnett TWolves, Camby T-Mac Raptors, Terrell Brandon Cavs, Ray Allen/Vin Baker/Big Dog Bucks, Dikembe/SteveSmith/Mookie Hawks, Dikembe/Abul-Rauf Nuggets, Kidd-Penny-KJ-Nash Suns, Kemp Cavs, Divac-Van Exel-Eddie Jones Lakers with a Magic Johnson return, Mitch Richmond Kings...did i leave any out?

If both Cleveland and Golden State sweep, is there any way/chance the NBA can push the Finals to start earlier?

Or will they make everyone wait for nearly 2 weeks to build up a series that has already been built up for 1 year?

 

Maybe hard to do with the logistics of renting the venues so far in advance...

 

This is so boring. I do not think I have ever been this disinterested in the play offs. There really is no point watching before the finals (and I still expect the Warriors to crush the cavs, so maybe I do not even have to watch the finals)

 

we're just one superstar away from being a contender. I'm serious.

 

Yeah..and so are many other teams...and even that contenders status might be a bit more "pretender" like the Clippers and their 3 all stars surrounded by good role players.

 

We should be content for now because we weren't even considered a pretender and high seed playoff team before last season.

This year has been very scripted. Everyone knows that Golden State and Cleveland are a full tier above anyone else in their conference.

There were multiple contenders in the West last year. Now there's only one. Everyone knows Cleveland is coming out of the East.

 

Guess the threematch deserved three Finals threads. Don't want @Snow Villiers thread to get left out.

i'm very excited for this year. there are plenty of good shows/movies out there that are much better than watching the playoffs.
