The game playing against Orlando, Moochie only played for 1 minute. Does this mean Van Gundy had given up on Moochie? Seriously, if there's a team out there willing to take Moochie, do you folks do the shipping? Face it man, the guy is one of the worst backup PG in the league. I would take Anthony Carter (defensive specialist, penetrate, passing) anyday over him. I don't even want to believe in Moochie's words anymore. Before the start of the season, he said he would work his a$$ off to make up for the terrible season he had last year. So far, not only he has failed to show any sign of betterment, he's taking a step backward. This is the wild wild west, no breathing room for folks like Moochie & his crap promise.

You just look at the Utah Jazz, they've been playing great games even without Stockton/Malone. The Sonics, Grizzlies, Nuggets are improving so freaking fast, which to some extent could be competitors against the Rockets for the 8th seed. Teams like Spurs, Kings, Blazers, Mavs, Lakers, T'wolves are automatically locked. So the Rockets will have to compete real hard.

The Rockets need a better PG from the bench.

    Blazers are a lock?
Many blazers should be locked up, but I dont see the Blazers as a lock for the playoffs

Umm ... no to nitpick or anything, but in the game I watched, he played 7 minutes. Was there another game against Orlando?

He has always been a marginal player. I don't see why Rudy liked him so much.

Upon reading the headline, I was expecting news about Moochie getting busted by the police or something that would prevent him from playing for the team. :)

Oh well, wishful thinking on my part...

7 min is suffecient for a back up. You want your start to play 40 min if he's doing as well as steve was doing last night.

Is this the first time Tim posted in a thread about the players?

Tim, what do you think about Moochie's over-dribbling and high number of turnovers? :D

JVG has figured out that Moochie is close to useless.

Last night he came in for Francis and our lead was evaporating in warp speed. He couldn't get Francis back in soon enough.

We need a capable backup PG - but unless that happens, it's going to be Cat playing point for SF, moving any of 2 or 3 others to the 2 spot.

    Tim's a fan, thank goodness.
I would be willing to bet that Tim would have a lot more to say about the team if he didn't work for the Rockets.

I'd like to be a fly on the wall around the watercooler, Tim. ;)

Moochie is a pretty bad player. He doesn't have much to contribute to the team (except turnovers). He should be traded but noone wants him. He is the Matt Stevens of the Houston Rockets.

Not to nitpick or anything, but in the game I watched, Mooch played 0 minutes. He was on the court for 7 minutes, sure, but he surely didn't play.

What happened to the guy? In his 'contract year' he made a fine third guard, working the point with SF and CM. Then he signed, got fat, and lost his game -- but irretrievably?

Mooch really seems like a good guy. What a shame.
